So it seems like the Netherlands is blocked from playing Bless Unleashed.
I see more and more publishers doing this as a precautionary measure when they have lootboxes in their games.

But I'd like to point out to the publishers that the Netherlands does not have any laws that are against lootboxes. The only thing that has happened is that in the Netherlands our gambling commision looked into lootboxes in video games. They found that lootboxes in which the "rewards" from the lootboxes can be exchanged for REAL MONEY through means such as the steam marketplace MIGHT be against the law.

So unless you're telling me that you guys are going to allow RMT between players in your game for the lootbox rewards I just fail to see why the Netherlands should be banned from playing the game.

HI there, we appreciate you for expressing and voice out your thoughts regarding the Bless Unleashed PC game. However, we regret to inform you that the game will not be available on your region since it is under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for data privacy protection. Rest assured that we will forward your concern to the appropriate team regarding the RMT transaction on loot boxes Rewards.

Uhm the entirety of Europe is under the GDPR... So you're not publishing in the entirety of Europe?

If it does than this be Neowiz's first game that ever got past being a beta. They just had to release 5 failed beta to make one failed fully released game. That some progress there. :portiapoop:

LMAO! What else does this PUP do while it's running on people's machines acting like a video game, mine crypto for you?

Yea quoting the GDPR as the reason for not being able to publish is quite silly considering they do publish in Germany for example which is under the same EUROPE WIDE General Data Protection Regulation as the REST OF EUROPE.

So the CM is just either incompetent, uninformed, lying or they just don't even know why they ban the Netherlands.

---

Oh and also on the PS4 and Xbone you can get Bless Unleashed, and it's lootboxes(!) just fine in the Netherlands. - Considering supposedly the game self admittedly by this CM doesn't comply with GDPR I guess it's time to let the EU DPA-SA (Data Protection Authority) know that they are holding European user data without apparently complying.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense. But what it does do is make one wonder what the primary purpose of this "game" really is if "cuZ pRivAcy PrutEkshUn" is what fell out of some suit's mouth when asked why the game wasn't releasing in a particular country.

And what else is it designed to do?

Ofcourse...it's easier to block BE/NL IP's, than it is to remove the option to buy lootboxes based on IP.

Its out for everyone on console and has been for a year, so i am very confused about the pc situation. VERY confused and round 8 does a bad job at informing us, they dont tell us anything

You will just be able to play the game. Even if you are from The Netherlands you can play it. I'm Dutch myself and i have played the closed beta. Only you cannot create an account by normal means and can't also link it then, which result that certain rewards will be prohibited. Neowiz collects data, alot of data and does this in an agressive manner.

Has nothing to do with lootboxes. GDPR was created to protect the privacy of the citizens of the countries which are in the European Union. Neowiz use an aggressive form of data mining and not value the privacy of their users. Since what Neowiz does violates GDPR they then have simply choosed to just block countries who have this and since The Netherlands is part of the European Union we just got blocked. You can then also not make an account on their site, because of same reasons.

Germany is not blocked though, when did Gexit/Deuxit happen?
Also they are available on Consoles in Europe and the Netherlands as well. Or is GDPR irrelevant then?

Hmm, then that's kinda weird then. Though i discovered the same with Finland. And Finland is also in the EU. Console works a bit different. Still, it's kinda strange then the console version does work and the pc version not and same goes then with fellow EU countries. GDPR covers the whole EU. But Neowiz isn't really clear about it. I've contacted themself through a ticket, since this russo guy here ain't a help, and all i got as an answer was that my country is blocked due to gdpr.
I got an account eventually by using vpn. Not a great solution no, but it's a solution. I also filled in that survey of the last cbt and mentioned about the country blocking and that they should do something about it. But i doubt they will do that. Neowiz operates like a shady car dealer.

Only the website is blocked .there is nothing stopping you from playing the game on steam

Considering the Steam page is literally inaccesible due to "this game being unavailable in your region", I doubt their intention is to let us play it. (I know there are ways around this, but that isn't the point.)

just change your region for steam .it aint that difficult .the game is not region blocked . i have the game set to germany steam region and no problem.

Ha yea so you would think, but that actually does not work when you live in a EU country. It will require you to make a purchase on Steam with a German address. Which means you'd be committing fraud by lying about your location and not paying taxes to the government in which you reside.

So "just" changing your region actually leads you down a road of "just" committing tax fraud so that you can play a f2p game.

The real reason is the Netherlands is a too advanced civilization to be playing such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, that is why you are banned from it!!
Go live in another EU country if you wanna play a crappy PC game!

LikiFM is right, so now what?

No EU server at all?

Or can u come up with a REAL SOLLUTION for us both instead simply not publishing in countries under the GDPR?
