Uhm the entirety of Europe is under the GDPR... So you're not publishing in the entirety of Europe?
So the CM is just either incompetent, uninformed, lying or they just don't even know why they ban the Netherlands.
---
Oh and also on the PS4 and Xbone you can get Bless Unleashed, and it's lootboxes(!) just fine in the Netherlands. - Considering supposedly the game self admittedly by this CM doesn't comply with GDPR I guess it's time to let the EU DPA-SA (Data Protection Authority) know that they are holding European user data without apparently complying.
And what else is it designed to do?
Has nothing to do with lootboxes. GDPR was created to protect the privacy of the citizens of the countries which are in the European Union. Neowiz use an aggressive form of data mining and not value the privacy of their users. Since what Neowiz does violates GDPR they then have simply choosed to just block countries who have this and since The Netherlands is part of the European Union we just got blocked. You can then also not make an account on their site, because of same reasons.
Germany is not blocked though, when did Gexit/Deuxit happen?
Also they are available on Consoles in Europe and the Netherlands as well. Or is GDPR irrelevant then?
Hmm, then that's kinda weird then. Though i discovered the same with Finland. And Finland is also in the EU. Console works a bit different. Still, it's kinda strange then the console version does work and the pc version not and same goes then with fellow EU countries. GDPR covers the whole EU. But Neowiz isn't really clear about it. I've contacted themself through a ticket, since this russo guy here ain't a help, and all i got as an answer was that my country is blocked due to gdpr.
I got an account eventually by using vpn. Not a great solution no, but it's a solution. I also filled in that survey of the last cbt and mentioned about the country blocking and that they should do something about it. But i doubt they will do that. Neowiz operates like a shady car dealer.
Considering the Steam page is literally inaccesible due to "this game being unavailable in your region", I doubt their intention is to let us play it. (I know there are ways around this, but that isn't the point.)
Ha yea so you would think, but that actually does not work when you live in a EU country. It will require you to make a purchase on Steam with a German address. Which means you'd be committing fraud by lying about your location and not paying taxes to the government in which you reside.
So "just" changing your region actually leads you down a road of "just" committing tax fraud so that you can play a f2p game.
Go live in another EU country if you wanna play a crappy PC game!
LikiFM is right, so now what?
No EU server at all?
Or can u come up with a REAL SOLLUTION for us both instead simply not publishing in countries under the GDPR?
