Of course the game's biggest peak is going to be on launch, but the important number is the "retention" number. Are all those players leaving?
If you look at steam charts, the average number of players has only declined 3% in the last month. Going from 40k average players on launch to ~39k average players is nothing.
I mean, I look from the outside at this game and see nothing that appealing. I've no real investment here, but credit where credit is due, the game only lost 3% average players and the loss in the "peak" numbers is expected.
(just go look at DOTA2's numbers. Peak is 1.2 million players, but the current peak is only at half that... yet the game still averages 400-500k each month. So, hardly a "failure" worth calling out.)
Just look at games like Path of Exile for exemple, each league (Major udate every 3/4 mounth) there is a Major Spike of players (like 120k) but at the end of the first mounth, almost 30% (Up to 80% in mounth 3) of the player base stoped playing, waiting for ne next major Update/League
The data indicates a downward trend since launch, in the number of active players since August 6th. At the beginning we were seeing a peak of active players of over 70,000 and now we are down to approx. 40,000.
And with nearly a month's worth of data, it is hard to argue against what the numbers show. And six months from launch how much further will they have dropped.
And that is typical of such games - hack and slash RPG.
Bless Unleashed is suppose to be a different beast - a MMORPG.
Best to compare BU to another proper MMORPG.
At this rate they will outnumber the server population.
to be honest i dont really care about the population, its just that the obsession on player population become rly funny on this point
True, PSO NGS is one of them!
Yeah the average has remained steady and this is the most important stat. These posts are just made to predict doom and gloom.
I bet you think it's funny when NA lost ch 5 too dummy
