Also Steam is happy with them as they have other products if you click on "neowiz" so it's business as usual for Steam.
But it's not Bless Online, it uses it's assets but it's freshly coded on Unreal Engine 4, if you tried the old Bless and try Unleashed it feels and looks far more polished.
Is Unleashed a Scam? No, was Bless Online's Western release a scam? Yes.
Just hold your wallet and only spend if you actually enjoy the game, you have no reason to spend money on a F2P game if it's not fun for you.
At beginning, people trashed it HARD. Then they relaunched it with ARR.
The game, even with his flaws, was AT LEAST decent. Was good as single player experience, but didn't seems to do well on a MMORPG part, especially on large scale PvP. But the overall idea was good.
So I'm very glad that sometimes we have devs that listen to idea instead of the masses.
wow, you can't compare Bless to FFXIV. SE did not scam anyone with their 1.0 version of FFXIV. Every legacy player of FFXIV got the 2.0 ARR gameversion for free, kept their characters on the legacy servers, and got their name put into the credits for A Realm Reborn.
And what did the scammed players from Bless Online get? Right, nothing. Besides, the whole thing with FFXIV was basically a rework of a existing game, while Bless Unleashed is marketed as a completely new game with reused Assets from Bless Online. Plus, Bless Online was trash. The only decent thing was the character creator and the open world pvp concept. But the pvp aspect of the game was still trash, because of big, very big balancing issues, with some classes being almost unkillable in a lot of situations.
Want to know the BIG difference between the two? Square apologized multiple times, cleaned house on the director, offered free game time for those who were still playing 1.0 before shut down, offered reduced monthly fees and tagged your character as a legacy one and a few other goodies I cant remember off the top of my head.
Neowiz is just like hey guys we know we ran off with your money before but here's the same game we told you was too expensive to make so get in there and buy our microtransactions.
Can you spot the difference?
To be fair we still do not know how they plan to compensate original Bless users but they did mention they will give something, but it shouldn't be hard for them to at least compensate the OG Bless players with something as its on Steam.
We are getting a closed beta key. Thats all they said for now. Unless they offer like lifetime vip status or whatever this f2p sub version is they will be laughed off the platform.
FFXIV Legacy had just that title, nothing more. Don't remember if they had some smaller monthly fee for a time, but definitely not anymore. The fact that they had the ARR version for free is the minum. Especially considering that SQ is a BIG SH, an AAA.
The "Unleashed" version of Bless is made by a studio named Round 8 that is not even korean. From what I could understand, is something mostly related with Ubisoft.
Neowiz is just gonna be the publisher.

But this doesn't change things. Is F2P, you can try and then decide. I don't think Bandai Namco would put the name on a "cashgrab". (The Xbox version was published by them)
Yeah and they (Bandai) are publishing the PS4 version as well now, Neowiz just cut out the middleman when it comes to the PC version as they are going to publish other Eastern titles in the west as time goes on and need to build up the publisher portfolio.
1. It's not the same game. (You'd know this if you played BOTH titles).
2. It's a different Development team completely. But same publisher.
3. It's fine to have your own opinion no issues but just spewing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when you know nothing is just real sad dude.
Go read and do YOUR OWN research before opening your mouth. My god.
