The easiest class is.... while the best class is.....
Easiest does not mean best, right? Share your thoughts!

For me - archer is the easiest, then the duellist . Both need to be played with mouse and keyboard.

The black hole guy is fun, so the stick-shotgun or ninja. They work great with controller.

I do not get the point of wizard or that guy with the spear and winged helmet. Clumsy controls, extreme attention span required to control them

I'm a big fan of the Valkyrie. Long range (for a melee class), can aim up and down, can move while attacking, and deflect allows you to avoid a lot of cheap hits and bullet hell situations easily. Pretty good with magic too, with inherent magic crits and deflecting restores mana quickly.

Her only downside is relatively low damage output.

easiest class is barbarian, best class is barbarian.

As far as Chef scaling goes, my first Prime Immortal King kill on NG+7 was a spoon Chef (talent was still Soup, spell was Poison Cloud I think) so they can't be that bad. Maybe at the really high NG+ levels they drop off hard, but it still seemed fine to me at +7.

For me easiest class is Duelist followed by Valkyrie and Chef. Best class could be Mage.

Easiest classes at NG+15 is...well all about the same, however, the weapon tier list is vastly different.
Top Tier:
  • Labrys Axe (Barb wep)
  • Saber (Duelist wep)
  • Fauchard (Valk wep)
High Tier:
  • Dual Blades (Assassin wep)
  • Great Sword (Knight wep)
  • Hephaestus' Hammer (Alt Barb wep)
  • Kinetic Revolver (Gunner wep)
Mid Tier:
  • Katana (Ronin wep)
  • Boxing Gloves (Boxer wep)
  • Enkindled Gauntlets (Alt Boxer wep)
  • Celestial Scepter (Astromancer wep)
  • Cannon (Pirate wep)
  • Charge Lance (Dragon Lancer wep)
  • Frying Pan (Chef wep)

Everything else is not even worth looking at, but is useable to some degree. However, in particular, the Lute, Electric Lute, Pepperoni Pizza, Charon's Scythe and Handheld Ballista are so bad that I would only ever recommend them on a challenge run.

I play 99% mage with Charon's Scythe; its nice to be able to "fly" indefinitely to cross whatever needs to be crossing or reaching hard-to-reach chests. And one of the two (and often both) of the attacks crit so using the 6% health when crit-killing is awesome. Its also great vs bosses just attack left-right-left-right to hover over a boss or attacks or spikes or whatever. Combine with a strong spell (I always use the prismatic thingy) and the manadrain as mage and you can keep that up on bosses alot of the time as well.
For a few bosses i change to assassin and for the trippel-eye boss i change to astromancer because so much is focusing on dodging stuff.

Although, the forced-movement of the scythe can be problematic, but i just disabled enemy contact damage because i thought it was a hazzle.

Bard and Dragon Lancer are my favorite classes. Usually my go-to. I also really like Mage.

Recently coming around on the Chef's fabled weapon. Not really a fan of default Chef. But, the spoon is really fun.

Edit: I guess I wouldn't really suggest the Bard is easy relative to other classes. I find it very strong and fun to play. The Dragon Lancer, my second favorite, is kind of easy to play. Bastion is great and once you get use to spin-kicking out of jousts, it's a very strong class. The reach on the backblast from jousts is deceptively large. Larger than the animation for it. With how quick the charge is now, you can sometimes just spam the jousts into an enemy such as a commander or boss for a ton of damage. Fun!

The easiest class is Ladle Chef. The fact that you do like 3x damage with skill crits coupled with how easy it is to inflict skill crits with the spoons means you shred through anything and everything. Heck, the fire alone can finish off enemies for you. Tighter spaces just mean an easier time getting trick shots. I've visited almost every room in the kingdom in one run on a ladle chef, it is fantastic. Second easiest is probably duelist, very fine mobility with attacks plus an amazing talent makes for a super slick playstyle. Third is dragon lancer. Just don't miss your charge hit and you're good.

OP, what do you mean when you say Duelist is best played on K/M ?
Eddie 30 MAY 2022 a las 4:52 a. m.
I think ease depends on where you are in your play through.

Early game the ranger is one of the easiest because his ability to build an extra platform allows you to get places long before you get double jumps and double sprints. He can even allow you to access zones before you have gotten the correct relic to get that high/far across the screen.

I think I beat Lamech with a Ranger because standing on that platform made me immune to 75% of the ♥♥♥♥ he was throwing my way

Astromancer's ability to fly invulnerable for short periods gives similar benefits, especially for a lot of fairy chest puzzle rooms.

Further in I think I cheesed a boss by picking up double ability to combo on a barbarian and the amount of damage I could generate just tanking every hit was insane compared to my average run.

There is a skill you need to master which is using a backward dash right after landing a hit (or better 2-hits) with a scythe, with this method you can attack any enemy in front of you without touching them.

Easiest class is Ronin.
Best class is Ronin.
My opinion is better. Why? Because I say so.

I generally agree with you, except -
Enkindled Gauntlets - I would put this top tier as it is basically a hack for boss fight. You can clear the whole map first with something else, then safely switch to this gauntlets and go for the bosses one by one.

Not super deep into the ng+s, but pirate has been kicking ass, and isn't very hard once you learn to abuse his wep.
