Boss: Cain
I've finally defeated Cain and he's decidedly unbalanced.
Other bosses can be killed with some skill, but with Cain you have to farm too much experience doing repetitive loops, without difficulty that can get boring.
The game except Cain is 10.

Eh, he just has a bigger moveset than rest of the bosses so you have to practice for a while to get it down. All his moves are better versions of the normal boss moves too, so you kinda have the idea already going in on how to deal with each, you just have to figure out his telegraphs.

The only really bogus boss imo was the Redeemed.

By the end, I found him to be the most predictable boss in the game as all his abilities are those of the other bosses. I beat him second try.

i have more trouble with Jonah

Beat cain on 7th try in NG+2
Like any other boss, you just need to learn his moves.
I think he was really fun.

Really? I beat Tubal on second try, and then turned around and beat Jonah with the same character first try before falling to Cain. Haven't tried Cain again yet as I still want to do more runs in the castle to get the lore out of the Phison Lake and the scar available after Tubal. (and the 15% tubal damage bonus if it exists). Before everythign gets boosted by a NG+.

Cain's worst attack is the phase transition, or maybe the dark staff attack. Aside from those two (which are still perfectly manageable) he's actually pretty easy.

Hard disagree. It doesn't take any grinding, just learning. All his moves are beyond well telegraphed and perfectly avoidable.

Had flawless record on Jonah until his Prime version, which took the crown for most deaths I've had in the game.

Cain can be learned like the other bosses. Yes, his moves are random and there's some RNG with timing, but still fair.

There is one situation Cain can set up which is kind of BS, in either the first or third phase. He can send out the big resonant projectiles from the Library miniboss (Murmur) that you have to jump/spinkick over, then the attack centered on you which shoots outwards and the safe zone is in the middle. One of them forces you to move, and the other punishes you for moving. Obviously there are some ways to get out of it with various talents but if you don't have one of those it just seems like an unavoidable cheap hit.

I'd say Cain is easier than Irad and Tubal. His arena doesn't have any obstacles on it, so as long as you learn his attacks and their lead-up animations, and know when to jump over him so he doesn't corner you, he's pretty straightforward. The only real trouble I have with him are when he does the shadow jellyfish - they last long enough that you're often still avoiding them when he starts his next attack, effectively making you have to dodge 2 moves at once.

Bump, because this boss is consistently kicking my ass.
The only other slightly difficult/annoying boss was Enoch and only because of his slightly BS true form. It's a very long fight.
All other bosses were incredibly easy and took me three tries at most.

But I think I've died to Cain at least a dozen times by now. It's especially painful, because of course you go through the whole castle again to get all the powerups you can find.

I recommend just running into him without power ups for a good while so you can properly learn and internalize the patterns. First time I beat him was after maybe a dozen or so attempts without any power ups. Using characters that have the 100% bonus health but can't heal perk will help with that. He's a very pattern driven boss though and eventually became probably the easiest one to perfect, for me at least.
