Barred room in secret storeroom trick wall? spoilers

Idk what this room is, I found all tubal's notes, then destroyed the wall at the top. There is indestructible furniture here and a barred hole. Not sure if I'm supposed to solve a puzzle here or something.

Well I went back after beating the boss and found a scar, but the way forward is still barred.

Nah, aside from the scar, the whole point of that room is for lore consistency purposes, it's just to show the aftermath of what Tubal did while hiding there, which is kind of the reason as for why the scar is even there.
