Pacifist and red challenge portals

So, I decided to try using the pacifist trait for a gold run, hoping to find the pacifier weapon change. Then I stumbled upon a red challenge room. I assume going in there is suicide, as would be entering any boss room, but did anyone try it? It'd be funny if there was a special interaction for it, letting you skip all the combat section.

Yeah, it's suicide. The game even tells you that maybe you don't wanna do that (for challenge rooms; but not for boss rooms)
