the "atlantis spire" scar

I kinda figured this location out on my own. i had found this breakable wall in NG.
i'm in NG+7 now and finally unlocked the "hint" for this scar and immediately knew where to go, but i'm having a problem.

every time i try to go into the hole, i touch the water, take damage and get teleported out of there.

I thought maybe it's just really tricky and i have to jump just the right way and kept trying and trying and trying and trying. . .

then i finally looked it up on YT

look at 7:26 in this clip, they are there and the water level is much lower and they just casually walk in there and take it.

is my game bugged or glitched?
I thought maybe it was just RNG, i got a bad seed, but i have done tried this on 3 separate seeds and it's always the same. the water level is too high and it's impossible to get in there. . .

Each boss you defeat raises the water level in that room. You have to get there on a fresh thread before you flood it.

that's kind of a dirty trick. the game gives no indicator that this is happening, unless am i supposed to extrapolate it from the "ending" sequence when the water floods the castle, it's because i defeated the bosses and it was gradually rising the entire time?

i guess it's not as dirty as the other trick where to use the mysterious key, which i accidentally "spoiled" the location of that for myself already , even though i haven't actually gotten the key yet.

Same here friend. I knew the trick wall was there from the beginning but I did not know you had to get there without killing any of the Estuaries until I looked at the wiki.
