How to deal with Irad's projectiles
Is it just me, or did they make Irad's projectis immune to most of the stuff that deals with projectiles. Neither the bard song or the valkyrie spear spin seemed to have any effect on them, nor most other effects Iv'e tried.

Bard/Valk deal with medium projectiles, Irad's projectiles count as large. Dragon Knight shield is the only thing that works on large projectiles as far as I remember.

Knight shield also work.

There's also the shockwave spell, it's weak damage wise, but the best to destroy any projectile.

Doesn't this make playing those classes pointless for this boss (and Barbarian as well)? I can't think of any other boss who just completely negates a class's talent like that. Bard in particular is hard enough needing to hop notes.... it becomes downright impossible having to do that and not being able to at least periodically clear the screen of projectiles so you have room to play.

It's not like those classes suddenly become unplayable. Some classes are better for some bosses than others, and if you could just use those classes to negate 80% of what the boss throws at you (like you can with Lamech) they become the obvious best choices for boss fights.

Those classes don't really bring anything else unique to the table. Valkyrie and Barbarian just have decent damage attacks, but nothing else unique. Bard note-hopping is downright unplayable in that setting when you constantly have heat-seaking projectiles after you in addition to other projectiles filling the room.

I understand some classes are better then others. I just lost using astromancer, but did get him under half finally. My point is those classes have their talents completely negated... not just 'poor', but litterally 'useless'.

Wait, seriously? you can spinkick those heat-seaking lightning orbs? Those things have been the bane of my existence even the small ones from variouis enemies before Irad.

barbarian's shout destroys all of them. wind wall also destroys all of them.

WEll, luck of the draw gave me ANOTHER astromancer with the hypercoagulation trait, so I froze the castle again to make a direct attack on Irad. I have to say, telling me I could spin kick those freaking annoying electric projectiles made a HUGE difference. After a flurry of black holes and meteor spells with the crescent armor set, I can finally start delving in to the dry lake.

You can spinkick the homing black attacks too fwiw.

They have the green halo around them that Echo's Boots introduced you to spinkicking. Anything with that green halo can be spinkicked. I only recently noticed that the Axe Wielder's axe projectile has the resonant halo too, which made dealing with them a whole lot easier.

It's so obvious, but took me like 15 hours to realize as well! Maybe it's because you can encounter these before obtaining the boots (I think). I was so annoyed by the long lifetime of these projectiles earlier.

Honestly, I think the halo wasn't obvious enough.... the animation of the yellow electric projectile mixed with the echo halo so I never really noticed it.

they really need to set the Barbarian's shout to a timer. I hate that I can only use it after being hurt
