Befriend Everyone bugged ? *spoilers*
I have been doing the 100%, and I'm at the point where I need to "befriend everyone" and finish the primes without death. Problem is when I finish the game without death and all primes, no achievement pops even though everyone in town has hearts, the dragon ending plays.

I'm on NG+ 11 at this point, with all primes enabled and some singles, running over the bosses once again, and its becoming a chore because these achievements aren't popping.

Someone save me.

Does the dragon also have hearts? He's also one of the NPCs to befriend. Also, did you get all of the eggplants (there are 4)?

I have all the eggplants. The dragon doesn't have hearts I don't think but she has given me shards and I hug her every time I see her (Ng+12 now)

Not sure what is up then. The dragon definitely had hearts at the post-game part. Petting the dragon doesn't advance the dialog, you have to talk to it with different characters after you kill Tubal but before you beat Jonah.

Every NPC in the post game screen should have hearts. The dragon, Jonah, the striking dummies, and Charon's entire family (including Charon).

No I know, what I meant by that is to pet her you have to speak to her after beating Tubal, aka to pet her after every time i have to exhaust the dialogue options. Everyone has hearts other than the dragon. I'm thinking maybe its a "class" specific dialogue for her, but that would be beyond obnoxious. Have you been playing for a long time ? Did a class come out in the same update as her ?

I picked up the achievement today and I've only been playing since the game came out.

Once I only had the "befriend everyone" and House Rules achievement left to get I lowered the thread back down to NG+1 (but with all the hard-mode bosses enabled) and powered through to the dragon, killed Tubal, retired, then locked the world. I proceeded to quickly retire characters going down to the dragon to talk to it until I got a bunch of soul shards (along with exhausting the other character dialog). Then I finished the game on another character, it didn't seem to matter that I didn't do the entire thread in one go.

Ok so its probably class specific dialogue. Thats both insanely obnoxious (of the game) and insanely helpful (of you) lol. Do you remember what class you were on when it unlocked ?

Sorry, no. I was just picking classes at random, I stopped going to the dragon once I got the soul shards (was still retiring characters because I had other NPCs to befriend). I'm skeptical that it's specific classes since I haven't had an issue with any of the NPCs regarding class specific dialog but it could be that I just so happen to fulfill the requirements without specifically aiming for it.

Do you have at least a bronze trophy for each scar challenge, because that is also needed (16 in total, the 16th requires the previous 15)

It's just the last thing I can think of because I use a few classes a lot, rather than using them all. I've used them all enough to fullfill the town requirements, but definitely not talked to the dragon on nearly them all. I could have sworn she's given me shards, but she is the only one with no heart. It's easy enough for me to get back to post Tubal, so i'm headed there now on 12 to try it out. No harm either way.

Just to clarify for anyone wondering, the best way to get the dragon's friendship is to 1. Beat Tubal. 2. Talk to the dragon until it falls asleep. 3. Retire your hero. 4. Lock the world. 5 Go directly back to the dragon and talk again. 6. Repeat at step 3.

A lot of people (myself included) don't initially realize that the dragon friendship has to be done on a SINGLE THREAD. Talking to the dragon after beating Tubal on multiple threads does nothing to advance the friendship. I was on NG+28 before I figured it out.

Yea I'm headed to doing it, she's thrown shards at me before which was the weird thing, I just assumed I was her friend once I got shards, like every other character. I guess I daydreamed it though :zaglol: That'll teach me to use pirate 95% of the time.

Yee I have gold on them all.

After getting bronze or higher on all scars, did you go back and visit the Erebus scar (first one listed) and talk to the old man, *inside* that scar? That's required to befriend him.

And then, after doing that did you beat the full game? The old man should have hearts above his head at the very end.

Thread difficulty makes no difference. I just beat the game on +0 with the true ending and the achievement popped.
