For foes too close to the cieling, yes that would need a rework, it's not always that you can push them away so you can safely kill them or pass through them, in particular when it's stationary enemies or tight corridors
The gold bonus it provides is sure temtping, but considering the ammount of time you spend planing and carefully cleaning the rooms, it feels like it is still faster to earn gold with a traitless heir.
Like i said, i pick it entirelly for fun so i guess my opinion is pretty biased.
