The new relics
So here is my opinion on the new relics.

Raven's Ring - AWESOMESAUCE! Finally a relic that is worth it to go below 100% resolve for. This thing fits my playstyle exactly. Aggressive and offensive. Finally i can go for a real glass cannon build.
I got an easy full clear with that thing on NG+28 on 55% resolve (the part where i had to traverse Pishon with 15% resolve because of that damn key was incredibly nerve wrecking and fun). Okay, i also had Achilles' Shield, the Scissors and two war drums along with a whole bunch of other relics. But DAMN! Even prime Enoch, which is the hardest boss for me so far, melted in just 20 seconds. Tubal never got the chance to summon his minions. If only i would have had Catalyst as well^^
PLEASE never nerf this incredible relic. Or maybe increase it's price so it's easier to activate it. :monstertraininterested:

Heron's Ring - Same for people that like to use magic more than i do. Great choice if you like the risky playstyle that comes with it.

Soul Tether - Surprisingly useful for crowd control. Not top tier, but worth the pick if you have some investment on the magic path in the manor.

Ivy Roots - Yeah, sure. Is the barbarian to weak or what's up with that one? :lunar2019crylaughingpig:
Only really useful if you find yourself standing around a lot. Unfortunately doesn't trigger while dashing for those sweet skill-crits. For classes like barb, ranger or dragon lancer this is a top tier pick. For everyone else, who relies more on their mobility, not so much. But still a decent relic. I'll rate it 3.6. Not great, not terrible.

Corrupting Reagent - Nice addition to classes that need the dash for the skill-crits. I often find myself dashing around and now i can blame this relic for the fart clouds i leave behind while doing so. But only really good against slower or stationary enemies. Also a 3.6.

Lamech's Whetstone - I haven't even found that one myself yet. But it sounds like a nice pick for magic users, especially the mage would benefit from that a lot it seems. Good idea for sure.

Caltrops - Meh. In normal combat i don't find myself spin kicking a lot. Unless you're a bard. So... Meh!

Voltaic Circlet - I mentioned that one in a seperate thread before. Absolute GOD tier for dealing with projectile spamming enemies and bosses. I see no reason not to pick that one up when you find it.
For ranged classes this might not be as good, but for everyone that needs to get close to the foe to deal damage, this is just bonkers.

Marble Statue - FINALLY i don't have to break the interior in the castle manually anymore. Thank you very much.
Only pick this one up if you have a war drum or too much resolve to get the Raven's Ring going. :lunar2019coolpig: Otherwise it's not worth it.

Demeter's Trial/Reward - You really needed to do that, eh? You know i can't resist the urge to take it when it says, 2k extra HP if purified. Another potential run ender, but if you git gud (or lucky with the drops more like), or you are greedy like me it's a great pick.

Arcane Necklace - Cool pick for magic users or if you have a very expensive spell equipped. 3.6

Red Sand Hourglass - It's cheap, so that's about it. Take it if you need to get rid of your resolve. It's only for patient players, which i'm not. A poor mans Fate's Die.

Aite's Sword/Broken Sword - Hahaha! Really funny. At least it progs a war drum bonus.

Weighted Anklet - Garbaggio or what is the italian word for trash? Maybe a pick for bards, but they're also trash. :RogueChallenge:

Dishonorable mention: Icarus' Wings - Was trash before, is still trash unfortunately. The flight is so unintuitive. It's just horrible. I used it once and i hated every second of it. You have to change your entire playstyle to deal with it and dodge stuff.
Maybe change it so you gain height while holding jump and you fall (slower than usual) if you let go instead of having to use the D-Pad? Toggling between flight and not flight goes against my gamer instincts and more often than not do i take damage because i try to jump and nothing happens and/or you just don't get out of the way fast enough.

Yeah, the Icarus Wings are so floaty and difficult to control. I don't get them either.

Maybe it's useful for sequence breaking or something, or getting through the Sun Tower? But honestly I'd much rather have double, triple, or quad jump.

I think new icarus wings are easy to control. I dunno about their effectiveness, it feels good to me, but I have no problem controlling at least.

There is actually a reason not to take it, which is that it can destroy things you might not want destroyed. The most obvious thing is destructible floors, which show up a lot in the final zone, for instance. The two sub-boss fights you need to do to break the dragon's chain both don't really have a lot of surfaces to stand on that aren't destructible, with spikes below. So in those fights Voltaic Circlet is actually making your life much harder. You might also proc some explosive barrels you didn't want to proc, etc.

Don't get me wrong, it's definitely an awesome relic, but it does have some specific drawbacks.

Yeah, I hate this one, too. I might consider taking this relic if it didn't also make you take 100% more damage, but since it does, it's a hard pass for me.

Honestly, I think the biggest problem with this relic is that there are things that knock you out of flight and it can be hard to immediately tell when you're flying vs. not. E.g., dashing and getting hit end flight and you need to re-activate it, and when you re-activate it you always expect to get a jump instead of just sitting in the exact same location like an idiot (just with flight activated vs not), which often causes you to get hit again.

My suggestion for a fix would be: make it so nothing knocks you out of flight, ever, unless you end it yourself. The jump button toggles it on or off, but when you're in it, you're in it. If you dash, you're still flying at the end of the dash. If you get hit, you can still be knocked back from it, but you ultimately remain in flight mode once the "you've been hit" animation ends. I really think this would feel so much better.

I find icarus wings to be very interesting. It is just that I couldn't get used to them much as there are so many relics now that you do not often get the chance to learn about their full potential. I could imagine it being very useful at dodging a lot of bullet hell boss moments.

Btw. how do scale runes affect flight? Does it make you fly faster in all directions?
