Cap on Charon status boost T_T
Well damn... I thought I would have something more to grind towards while waiting on NG6+ and soul shop.. but Charon stat increase stops at +25 T_T granted this is still a significant amount - but for some reason i remember reading back in one of the earlier patches that this would have no limit but get exponentially more expensive. Seems the cap is around 1.7m gold given to the vault to hit +25.

This was the cap before the Drifting World update, guess it wasn't changed after (only at +12 myself).
Quite possibly, all the super endgame stuff like this and the unity level 100, could end up being Soul Shop purchases.

I guess this type of infinite farm kind of stat buff will be unlocked closer to release. I think they dont want to see someone fly through NG+100 with 500 all stats :)

Btw, do you believe it is a good idea to farm souls (and ore) if I dont have anything else left to do or is it a waste of time? Before drifting update I was farming gold for charon's stat buff only to find out after the patch that I can now farm x6-x7 the amount in NG+3. Dont get me wrong, I love running through the game over and over again, but I dont wanna waste like 20h now if its gonna take me 2h after the next big patch.

The souls can't be farmed sadly. After finishing NG+5 and restarting it, the souls no longer drop. I believe they can only be received once per boss per NG. Ore, i personally think yes. Im close to finishing all gear +2 - need like 20k more ore.
I am wondering if any excess gold given to the vault will be counted towards stats when the cap is increased/removed. Im almost at 3m in the vault so would be cool to get like +10 more stats when it releases.

That's exactly how it works, I remember a dev saying as much. 100 soul per boss per NG only the first time you beat them.

dont worry, class levels are STILL just an afterthought they put no effort into too, and all but 2 are literally pointless to level up because the 15% stat difference is not even noticable.

the stat boosts are most certainly noticeable lol

i have every class at max level, castle maxed out, and every gear piece maxed out. even with those high stats, i can manually change the class levels from 1 to 15 mid level, or in between levels, and theres hardly any difference in my damage, health, damage taken, or anything aside from rune/equipment weight. at lower stat values, its even less noticable, especially considering how high some of the enemy stats get.

I think it would be great if devs give us some incentive to keep playing till next patch is implemented. Infinite Charon & NG would be great. I have the castle nearly & charon nearly maxed. Soon I will have nothing to do left and will need to wait another 3 months...

The stat boosts are noticeable for leveling, and the rune weight increase is _very_ noticeable. +330 runic for all classes at L15 makes a huge difference.

You have 18h in total on the game, absolutely no way you have all of that stuff.

Also, many classes have great bonuses like extra weight, Vitality, etc., and those this really add up, especially mid to late game

You are trying to tell me that around 25 str isn't noticeable? or that almost 30 int isnt noticeable? lol ooooooookkkkkk

it only takes a few seconds for me to hex edit whatever i need in to test these things out. some of us want to see what the game actually is offering, not the artificial grind it uses to pretend theres more content here than there is.

seeing as in those cases you already have ~300 of the stat in question, yes. that little 15% increase isnt much, and it has virtually no effect on a run.
Crohex May 25, 2021 @ 11:18am
Not sure how you are hitting 300 of str or int as that is impossible in the current build of the game. Perhaps you should go ahead and move on to a different game because this one is clearly outside your realm of expertise and skill.

For the fact that you appear to play this game so much, why do you dislike equally as compared to the time you have played it?
Ryukan May 25, 2021 @ 12:40pm
That guy just admitted to cheat the game right off the bat while saying its for the sake of "see what the game has to offer"... Sure, for testing stuff is the way to go, but playing the game properly is still mandatory in order to get a real experience and understanding of the game...
