My thoughts on the demo so far
Controls feel like I need a fair chunk of time to get used to them, though I'm liking what's being shown so far. Quick turning is definitely a welcome feature and while it looks gamey AF, I suppose it can be excused due to how Ork teknolojee works. My biggest complaints so far after playing on the first mission are:

-No minimap (or i guess in the context of the 40K universe, a gitfinda). Was struggling to spot the fuel depots and hangaz in the first mission and it doesn't help that one of the optional objectives is "complete mission within 6 minutes or less"
-Fuel recharges a bit too slowly for my tastes. Feels like quick-turning is your primary means of survival and I can understand the devs not wanting that button to be spammed.
-Barrel roll/boost/decelerate are all tied to the right stick. Often times when i try to slow myself down to make sharp turns, i accidentally barrel roll
-Needz more Freebooters. I blame my Retribution playtime for this personal gripe of mine

All in all, I think I can see myself getting Dakka Squadron despite the problems I have so far. Maybe'z the dev team will consider the krumpin' uv dem spikey humies?

Yeah, minimap would be a nice thing to have. After a crazy dogfight it is kinda hard to figure out what is where. Especially with everything turning grey, becouse "YOU'RE LEAVIN' DA BATTLE ZONE!".

As for the enemies, I think we will fight Necrons on some point in the time, since in the trailers we can see their Monoliths. But it would be cool to fight sum spikey gits :P

I couldn't even get the game to run. Half the time it didn't load, and when I did manage to boot it, and stopped fighting the UI scaling (if you change your resolution, the buttons are no longer where they appear to be), the game had infinite loading on the tutorial (which broke the tutorial progression), and infinite loading after the flight tutorial.

There's also no option for language settings. Now the game is advertised as only being available in english, but part of the game was translated to spanish since my system's in that language. So I can't have my orkish subtitles since there's no way to change this. I wanna talk to the Mekboy in charge.
Yeah, it's pretty damn hard to distinguish between just objects and mission targets so far. Finding Fuel Depots was tricky. Also, FOV feels not wide enough. Or maybe it's just camera too close to the plane?

Yeah I agree with having a minimap.

My main issue with the game is that the game freezes for a bit after you destroy a turret for example but other than that I hope the release goes smooth.

Recently became a Warhammer 40k fan so this game is a nice addition along side Mechanicus (bought off Nintendo Switch) & a few other games (Battlefleet Gothic for example) to try in case another sale happens. Hopefully in the future we'll get some Adepta Sororitas, Officio Assassinorium or Inquisition themed games next.:cupdevil:

The controller settings can be adjusted and edited. Sorry if you already know this. Just get the impression that you're not aware of it that's all. I put the barrel roll on the shoulder buttons. Works a lot better if you ask me.

A mini map/better gitz finder would be nice.

The camera cut to show something being destroyed is atrocious and only served to confuse me every time. Nearly smashed into the ground because of it several times. The fuel/hull gauges block the view far too much, let us move them, change size, and add transparency.

I also agree with the top poster that the fuel recharge felt a little bit too slow.

all the stuff you mentioned are the exact things i thought. the logos and markings for the depots etc need to be bigger and the colour markers not blending into the scenery. obviously a map would be loads better too.

The cursor seems to be off, it has this big zoggin pointy thing but instead of poking buttons with the prickly end you gotta stamp it where you wanna click, and some of the ui elements are a bit small to see even at higher resolutions.
