---For grasta I've been using wind boosters enhanced with "Enemy Numbers Attack" and "Bulls Eye"
---I've been using Prismatic Ax, Rainbow Necklace and SPD badge, so that she attacks before mostly anything else and also be crits
Free characters I liked to use Serge or Kid from Chrono Cross collab (Dash Cut Heavens, Z-Slash), the problem is that these skills cost a lot of MP.
Hardy AS, Tsubame AS, and Cyan Scyther are also very strong picks for auto-attackers, all of whom have 0 MP first turn nukes.
Honorable mentions to Otoha AS and Violet Lancer as both enable basically anyone on your team to nuke on turn 1 without much regard to MP. Violet Lancer has a passive that makes your entire team's skills cost 0 MP on turn 1. Otoha AS has a passive that restores 15% of your team's HP/MP after each battle.
i used to check mirahaze wiki, but many pages are currently not working properly.
i also use kikyo + kid with preemptive attack for z-steal. for normal farming + leveling up is the best combo imo.
Good tip on also throwing Kid into a party, I put a Falcon Badge on her with some grastas to let her kill all right at start of battle, though it seems her chance of stealing is low. I've gotten some gold lumps and other minor items, but no Jadeites yet sadly.
Related to that, do you know if more characters have double attack or able to multiple attacks in it? i only know elga and ruina do.
are those enhanced grastas better option than using a couple of pain grastas + something like increased combo rate?
Hm, not from the top of my head.
Though I can say at least that Morgana is a Support but uses a Sword. A couple more like Prai use hammer. I say this cause you can start with them a run to take into account the starting attacks.
They can help add quite a more dmg, in the way that you're getting the 30% from pain, and if slap a bull's eye enhancement that character will also deal an extra 50% dmg when not using another force. The Enemy Numbers Attack enhancement adds an extra 30% dmg per enemy when there is 2 or more enemies. That's why I put that on someone like Kid and Kikyo AS, so that on turn one they can wipe most enemies easier. But yes pain grasta are where lots of the damage comes from it seems, so long as not against like a boss that is immune to pain/status. Maybe it comes down to if you want boosted damage turn 1 for specific character as I did, or bigger output for another force bursts. Even then I've seen clips where people do millions and millions of damage like it's nothing, and I've not really figured out how in the world they did it, if it relies on a very specific setup or exploit.
As far as the enhanced combo rate like you said, I'm actually not certain on if they would be more useful since I've not actually used them myself. Granted my Another Force combo % has only ever hit about 400%...so you may actually be on the better track for the bigger enemies and superbosses, and I admit I haven't done all the big superbosses as I end up getting destroyed. Hopefully someone else that knows more can clarify for us
- Use good units with high damage multipliers on their skills
- Hit weaknesses as this keeps AF going longer
- Get critical hits as scoring crits keeps your AF going longer. Either have a character like Necoco who can guarantee crits for your entire party or use the Rainbow or Void weapons
- Have good team synergy. Use units that all have skills that work well together or offer buffs to each other
- Have strong Grasta setups using a few key Ores in the front line, while your two back row units use Grasta with shared effects.
- (If using Power of Poison or Pain) Have a character who can inflict guaranteed Poison or Pain regardless of resistance.
Aside from the obvious choice of 3x Power of Poison or Pain, here's some other front line Grastas that are worth using:
- Power of Deadly Blow [weapon] (A must if you have someone who guarantees crits or are using the Void weapons.)
- Any tier 3 Power of Rapids/Inferno/Quake/Gale element Grasta. They may not stack as high as Poison or Pain, but they're not reliant on status effects so you'll always be enjoying their bonuses
For back row Grastas, you need to match characters with personality traits or weapon types to enjoy the benefits of these, but they're definitely worth using for superboss fights!
- Enhance if Max HP [weapon]
- Power of [element] [weapon] These Grastas require you to match weapon types to get the effect, but they can be very useful!
- Almighty Power [trait] These require you to match character personalities to get the bonus to Type Attack, but it's worth it, especially when stacked
I could add in more but I worry this post is long enough and, like the previous poster, I worry everyone probably knows most of this already. Hopefully some of this information helps!
i think maybe you need to increase her luck. i increased her light points to 50 for the bonus, and i get more frequently items. jadeites are a lot more rare than gold, but you will get them. most frequent rewards are xp scrolls.
I had thought luck was just for crit chance, but I actually am trying to raise hers and Aldo's light points with the new toto dungeon, it just takes to long when don't get any points most of the time. Even if blow chronos stones to buy extra keys to try farming it still is ridiculous getting a character to max their points. I know what a pain it is, I actually took the time to max out Clarte and that took several months just for them.
to speed up a little the process you could also farm "increase encounter" grasta upgrades, so monsters spawn more frequently and you can finish all possible encounters in every run faster.
i think you should only spend money if you want to support development, and only maybe in the rare ocassion the game includes a 100% chance to get a good 5* character, or something close (like a 100% chance for one random 5* + whatever added in a promotion). imo is not worth it (if devs asked for half or less the current amount of money for every 1k stones, maybe it would, just a little).
since paying usually doesnt increase the odds to get one or more good characters, i think its better to play free. i still dont get why if the game has been working as business, the devs dont spend time to fix many old problems like a better update system, so the game doesnt download a large file, but only a smaller patch with the new content (like most games), or more QOL improvements for navigating the game and menus (ie i think we should be allowed to walk while using the full map; i also think an option to increase the speed of walking should exist, so we could decrease the amount of time we are forced to spend in that).
