The game is really outstanding. The homage paid to Chrono Trigger by the devs, the music, the characters and their stories, it's all great! Hell, I don't even mind the gacha rates, grinding, and some of the other frustrating aspects of the game.
The ONE thing that's absolutely killing it for me is the update delivery and how god awful it is to spend hours upon hours on what should be small patches. I've gotten to the point where I don't even want to play the game until the update system is reworked. Not holding my breath for that ever happening, but it'd sure be nice if it did.
Yeah 2 hours every time sucks, especially these last few weeks. The "regular" schedule looked like an update every 2.5 weeks, but it's been triple that frequency lately. When I come back from work and finish whatever upkeep stuff is on my plate at around 7pm, and find out there's an update in my short window before 11pm, it ain't great.
3 minutes? Strange. Takes like, 3-5 seconds for me.
In my experience, it takes longer the more awards you actually earn. It takes literal minutes to complete loading, and I have friends confirm it's gotten worse the more they've played. The general stuttering has occurred more for me as of late too, as my menus get more and more cluttered with new stuff. Certain characters also cause noticeable lag every time I highlight their abilities in battle. Definitely things that only happen with Steam, though.
