I've been downloading this game for week(Bad connection) and now I find out that it's all dialogue...... What a waste
ummm It's a mobile game, the core of mobile games are events and PVP.... not sure where your coming from. Also most JRPG's are combat focused with great story telling, Name me one game where the entire gameplay was dialogue.. other then trails of cold steel(Which is a long and boring game)
Wrong.
Also there's hundreds of hours of combat gameplay time in this game. You won't have a lack of that. Enjoy the story while it lasts.
No I'm right if mobile games where all about story there would be no incentive to buy anything or to whale, which is why people do so to be better than the other person.. or don't you know this?
Let me tell you about this little unknown phone game called Fate Grand Order...
Yes UNKNOWN, I'm sure they don't rank in the same amount of money as a Event/PVP game. A PVP game brings in more players for longer as there is a reason to keep progressing all the time, if you don't you'll fall behind and would need to whale heavy to get back to competitive. Event games are easier to progress however your rank won't be as high for a long while.
I'm sure your story based games may have some gacha potential, but what would be the point in a whale to whale in those games when it's just pictures and the stories can be either read up on the internet or on youtube. That's probably why this game got put into another medium - in order to cash in on a new platform.... which for the most part people on this platform are not a big fan of mobile games.
All mobile games have some story but not ones that require you to read hundreds of dialog in order to progress, It's all about the Mats.
A lot of them are PvP centered and put the story on the back burner.
A good example of that is Summoners War, Dx2 and the cringy Raid Shadow Legends.
Some mobages are based around PvE story and events such as Princess Connect, F/GO and Another Eden. The latter of which don't even have PvP.
Each mobile game has a different focus because *surprise* they are made by different companies that have different goals.
The only one consistent thing about all gacha mobile games is that they are all going to be pay to win regardless of who created it.
If you don't want a story focused game then Another Eden probably won't be for you.
As for the guy claiming the original poster has "mental problems" just for wondering about something simple like this, that's an extremely toxic attitude and definitely report worthy in my opinion.
Your post is pretty hilarious because you couldn't tell "unknown" was sarcasm.. Shows how much you know about mobages right there.
Claiming PvP brings in more players for longer is simply not true. Fate/Grand Order and Genshin Impact are both in the Top Grossing games and don't have any PvP at all. They are even higher on the charts than AFK Arena or Summoners War, two very popular PvP focused mobages.
This game is more for people who like the traditional JRPG game. It has some mobile game mechanics (really, only the gacha and daily keys when you want to grind), but gameplay and story is a lot more like old school JRPGs. If that's not your cup of tea, then look for something else.
There's wait times between some story content (much of it removed recently), and daily/hours reset for certain enemies on the map. There's not just the gacha, but consequences of the gacha like unit Light/Shadow points. The implementation of even free characters is influenced by the gacha (prolonged time until getting/upgrading certain units when in a premium game it'd happen much sooner in the content). Simplified combat design until very late in, then it gets all complicated and metagamey (a very mobile gacha thing). Lots of things! Another Eden is just among the kindest about it.
God someone who actually knows nothing about Fate grand Order and think they know gacha games...
