As for the AI laying down vertically that happens to all wrestlers both AI and human when then get lower on health. It is a different type of move you can do at that point.
As for the pile drivers not registering damage, that is the first I have heard of that. I will be on the look out for more comments like that. If that is happening it is definitely a bug.
In general, the community has made us aware of some of the most blatant AI issues and we are starting to address them.
I would ask you to check out the beta or wait until we go live with it in the next day or so and I think you will see a difference and have a better experience.
EDIT: Great title for this topic by the way! I did get a laugh out of it. But your comments are not falling on def ears.
A lot of the moves cause little to no damage, not just the pile drivers. I will make some videos and upload them to youtube.
I will check out the Beta.
Thanks!
But man that would be great to do a video as that would really help us get to the bottom of it quickly.

This video is on the BETA version. The Pile Driver still gives next to no damage. Some Strong moves give less damage than Medium and Small damage moves.
The AI gives more damage than it receives. (on easiest level)
Looks like two issues here that relate to the match length slider. Please let me know what you have it set to.
1) Match Length bar is having far too large an effect when placed all the way to the right side. This is an bug and will be resolved in an upcoming patch (hopefully the next one.)
2) It seems that certain moves are ignoring the match length bar and just using their default values no matter what. This explains why you were able to get light moves to do more damage than medium moves, etc. This is also a bug and will be sorted in an upcoming patch, but it may take a bit longer to track down than error #1.
Ok, we think we addressed most of your issues in the Beta build from a damage standpoint. We still have that Match Length issue. where the match will go way too long and the match damage will not be that high on all moves. But now it should be consistent for all moves. ALso fixed the move damage issue on the lower two difficulties.
All the way to the right.
One thing I noticed is that the Pile Driver when done by the cpu with the same wrestler caused much more damage then when the user uses it. I guess that would be the same for all of the moves. Looks like the cpu gives more damage. If the issue is the match length shouldn't effect both the cpu and the user?
Generally speaking there is no system in the game that causes the AI to do more damage at any point, so this issue is almost certainly wrestler specific and not AI specific, one way or another.
The pile driver gives even less damage than all the moves in the low damage spot. You can hardly see any damage occur.. like you literally can not see the red effect.
You take control of your partner when you go for a pin. We are working on making a visual indication of this
