"We lie, we cheat, we steal!" Eddie Guerreo AI / Gameplay!
It took me a little while to figure out how to play this game and I almost have it all. Mainly other than climbing in and out of the ring. So yes for the most part I understand everything. Timing on grapples is no problem as well. The problem is the game CHEATS!

I perform pile drivers on my opponent and the energy bar doesn't move at all and pretty much every move the cpu does on me sends my energy bar sinking very quickly. So I say, "ok, its cheating by shaking off some of the moves I perform. let me see now which moves I can hit to cause the most damage." I see that drop kicks and stomping a downed opponent appears to do the trick. Great!

Not really in Story Mode tag team. I was beating the piss out of the opposing tag team and they decide to keep the one wrestler in the ring that has zero energy left. He also starts falling to the mat in a weird angle EVERY TIME to avoid me putting a submission on him easily. This allows enough time for his partner to come in and break up EVERY submission and of course every pin attempt while my partner does nothing to stop him from breaking up the pin. I knew the match was dead for me when I saw that and that "Eddie" would keep cheating until he has my energy level low enough to get a cheap pin.

And

That's exactly what happened. I laughed it off before turning off the game and shaking my head.

Please fix the cheating AI / CPU.

Thank you!

We have actually addressed some of your concerns in the latest patch. It is in beta now if you want to try it out.

As for the AI laying down vertically that happens to all wrestlers both AI and human when then get lower on health. It is a different type of move you can do at that point.

As for the pile drivers not registering damage, that is the first I have heard of that. I will be on the look out for more comments like that. If that is happening it is definitely a bug.

In general, the community has made us aware of some of the most blatant AI issues and we are starting to address them.

I would ask you to check out the beta or wait until we go live with it in the next day or so and I think you will see a difference and have a better experience.

EDIT: Great title for this topic by the way! I did get a laugh out of it. But your comments are not falling on def ears.

A lot of the moves cause little to no damage, not just the pile drivers. I will make some videos and upload them to youtube.

I will check out the Beta.

Thanks!
That is odd as the values are read from a json file so maybe we have some move damage values wrong? I would not think it would be "a lot" though as I think this would be a bigger problem.

But man that would be great to do a video as that would really help us get to the bottom of it quickly.

This video is on the BETA version. The Pile Driver still gives next to no damage. Some Strong moves give less damage than Medium and Small damage moves.

The AI gives more damage than it receives. (on easiest level)

Can you tell me what you have the match length set to?
Ok moving this to the technical forums.

Looks like two issues here that relate to the match length slider. Please let me know what you have it set to.

1) Match Length bar is having far too large an effect when placed all the way to the right side. This is an bug and will be resolved in an upcoming patch (hopefully the next one.)

2) It seems that certain moves are ignoring the match length bar and just using their default values no matter what. This explains why you were able to get light moves to do more damage than medium moves, etc. This is also a bug and will be sorted in an upcoming patch, but it may take a bit longer to track down than error #1.

Ok, we think we addressed most of your issues in the Beta build from a damage standpoint. We still have that Match Length issue. where the match will go way too long and the match damage will not be that high on all moves. But now it should be consistent for all moves. ALso fixed the move damage issue on the lower two difficulties.

All the way to the right.

One thing I noticed is that the Pile Driver when done by the cpu with the same wrestler caused much more damage then when the user uses it. I guess that would be the same for all of the moves. Looks like the cpu gives more damage. If the issue is the match length shouldn't effect both the cpu and the user?

It should not. But we think we addressed the move damage in a minor update we pushed last night to beta. We are still testing it though,
Is this a situation where the AI wrestler has pile driver in a heavy slot? It is possible for one wrestler to have a medium pile driver and the other has a heavy, which would explain the damage difference.

Generally speaking there is no system in the game that causes the AI to do more damage at any point, so this issue is almost certainly wrestler specific and not AI specific, one way or another.

The pile driver gives even less damage than all the moves in the low damage spot. You can hardly see any damage occur.. like you literally can not see the red effect.
Next .. Tag Team matches. The AI partner always comes in to break up the pin while the player controlled wrestlers partner comes in but does nothing when he enters the ring. Because of this I have to go outside the ring and re-enter to get assistance from my partner to get the win. I have this video as well.

You take control of your partner when you go for a pin. We are working on making a visual indication of this
