DLC Wishlist

It's very early and I know we have DLC coming, but I thought it would be fun to have a "wishlist" for some potential talents we'd like to see in the game. Devs are welcome to make an official thread and paraphrase this one.

Clearly we're not getting those contracted to WWE/AEW or other exclusive contracts so please don't add them. Likewise, let's leave Chris Benoit out of it...

Personally, I'd like to see more "classic names" in the game whose cartoonish gimmicks fit the game but here is my list.

Terry Funk - The Funker not in the best of health these days but is a legendary NWA champion and fits this game perfectly.

Koko B. Ware - The Birdman was a Memphis alumni, like Austin Idol and would be a fun character to have, especially if Frankie is in tow.

Kamala - The Ugandan Giant, sadly he passed away but family might be willing to license the character...again his cartoony gimmick fits the style of the game really well.

Rick Martel - While "The Model" is a WWE gimmick, Martel himself was an AWA champion and someone who fits the game even without the towel/sunglasses.

CM Punk - I think everyone would love to see this happen but he would be an expensive and difficult get.

Big Daddy/Giant Haystacks/Kendo Nagasaki - The Holy Trinity of British Wrestling. would be a fun pack to go with the British arena as the other major talents are WWE contracted.

Tessa Blanchard - The first Female TNA Champ. Again, likely a difficult/time sensitive get but she is known for wrestling guys so adding her might not damage the game too much. Can't speak for other talents in the game if they'd be happy with a female character.

Demolition or Masked Superstar and Krusher Kruschev - Not sure whether the Demolition name is owned by WWE or not, but they seem to still use it. If that's not possible both had successful singles careers before, Bill Eadie was Ax and the Masked Superstar while Smash/Barry Darsow was in a faction/team with Nikita Koloff so that could be a fun pairing.

Abdullah The Butcher - For any hardcore matches, Abby would be fantastic... need a blood feature though.

Managers - A Manager option would be really fun, even if it goes as far as walking to the ring with you/a partner you cant tag in. Jim Cornette, Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Tammy F/Sytch would all be fun additions.

Definitely more ECW legends if possible or anyone affiliated with HOH. Sandman, Sabu, Mike Awesome, Rhyno, Dudley Boyz, Jerry Lynn, Mikey Whipwreck, Balls Mahoney, Shane Douglas etc. Not sure if all or any are eligible but Tommy and the BWO need some friends. And a Hardcore match but I see that has already been noted

Totally forgot about Public Enemy, Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge, be a nice fit given the banners bearing their names in the HoH arena

Tessa's career in the US is over. She's has too much baggage and wouldn't be profitable. Out of all the stuff she did the worst was her being unprofessional when as Impact champion after everything they did for her. She didn't fill her commitment to the company and refused to send in promos getting her fired. Nobody is going to hire somebody unreliable. I don't care if there was a pandemic and she was getting married. When you are a wrestler you sign away your personal life. That's just the way it is.

If Retrosoft gets Tessa Blanchard they might as well go for Moolah, that's how bad an idea her as DLC is. Impact fans like me sure aren't going to pay for her and this is coming from somebody, who use to be a major fan of Tessa. I just don't care about her anymore.

As for the female talent the best choices are:

LuFisto - Known for her hardcore matches against men and her war against the Canadian sport commission where she won to allow her to wrestle in intergender hardcore matches.

Cheerleader Melissa - The "Future Legend"herself. She's the final Shimmer original, who hasn't been signed by the WWE. She's been in Impact (Raisha Saeed and Alyssa Flash) and Lucha Underground (Mariposa).

ODB - She has the personality and style that would fit perfectly in RMW. Yeah, she's already in The Wrestling Code, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's blocked from other wrestling games. She should be easy to get with the offer of having a stage with it advertising her Meat N Greet food truck. Throw in making the truck being interactable by doing moves on top of it and it's gold.

Of course Mick Foley would be a good one, I don't think he is contracted at present although it may have to be his own name rather than any of his gimmicks.

To be honest I'd forgotten the Tessa Blanchard controversies so fair point,it was always a "what if" rather than a "go for it".

"Barry Windham, Steiner Bros., The Midnight Express, Iron Sheik, Magnum TA..." All would be good, Sheik would be good from the perspective of Twitter promotion... As Rick Steiner's son just signed to WWE, might be some difficulty there but Scott is never going back so, if not the team, he alone would be fun. Windham a lock, but again, kids in WWE so might be a politically difficult one.

A lot of WWE Hall of Famers/People who appear in their games here... Roddy/Perfect/Rude/Vader etc so they'd be doubtful. Dean Malenko is in AEW so unlikely.
Butch Reed recently passed away sadly and I think RVD was doing things with Impact.

But I guess, the only thing a talent can say is no if approached right?

Only thing about Tessa is that from over the years, she's incredibly difficult to work with, and basically, how I see her, is an entitled spoiled brat only because her father was one of the greatest Four Horsemen.

Hikaru Shida would be MUCH better than Blanchard, but also almost as near impossible.
