Why is this game still $70?
It's been 3 years. There's no way you've had enough people buying this game to justify keeping the price up so high. Most AAA games already halved their price after 2 years or so. We both know you're not a AAA studio.

The Japanese developers (Illusion) are gonna milk it for as long as possible. All their games are old news (mostly) and still pricey. If you find better AAA in the Shoujo/AI genre that's not a novel, drop me a DM.

For real. What's the competition? You think the company has any moral obligation to you to lower it for its age?

There will be countless people who will continue to horny-buy this regardless over time. Until we finally get a ero-game dev who doesn't go on an ego trip/run away with the money/burn out as a 1-man-team, we likely won't see Illusion even remember to drop this. It was a struggle to get them to release western to begin with.

OpenViva , originally being developed as Project Viva but the 1-man-dev stepped down to follow other passion projects, is actually stupidly similar to this game. However, it's an entirely different flavor and I think exclusively lolis lol. Take a peek if you're interested since it's freeeeeeeeee.

Prices rarely drop in Japan. It's simply not done unless there's a very good reason for it and this is in part due to Abenomics. You'll see "normal" games lowering prices only because there's a second hand market and because those publishers have opted to enact price reductions to attempt to move stock. The adult game industry does not follow this model. They follow the model most other industries do, they don't lower the value of their products regardless of age and instead, will pay relevant companies to destroy unsold stock.

Yes, it's a huge waste, but that's how things are done. I'm fortunate in that my wife works for one such recycling company. Stock of several adult games sent for destruction are now in my collection, pristine, wrapped, brand new. Got a lot of anime merchandise under the same situation. That too is never price reduced.

Now with Illusion shuttering, all their unsold physical stock will be sent to recycling companies to be destroyed. There's also no incentive to reduce the price of their digital offerings, Illusion titles have remained best sellers for a long time, being bested only by Qruppo. If you want to legally own any of their products you better pay the asking price and buy them before August 18.

I'm so jealous. I worked for a recycler and would snag incredible finds like this. My favorite was a whole line - yeeears worth of prints - of vintage adult magazines. It was difficult sorting it all away from the crusher but it was worth it... I never got quality like an Illusion game come in though.

So much cool ♥♥♥♥ that other people would definitely use goes to recyclers q.q

That to me also sounds like a damned good catch.

It's been 3 years.. why haven't you saved up $70 by now? There''s no way you've not been able to save up 2 bucks a month to justify complaining about the price. Most men of culture already bought the game after 2 years or so. We both know you're not on social assistance.

Lol, "men of culture". Sorry, I'm not one of you if I have to save up for a game. I can afford it whenever I want. I just don't want to pay full price for something I know doesn't actually have the content worth that amount.

in a way, it's all about risk-taking. sometimes things cost. and you'll be stuck behind a huge paywall if you would like to do something or buy something that's to your likings.. that is least to say, quite similar to the real life. the struggle between the necessary items or needs that you desperately need like food, shelter, clothing etc. and the amount of unnecessary mindboggling distractions such as games, books, music and all the media that's to destined to be consumed by any means. i understand. but that's just a piece of art that you may or may not necessarily need in any way possible. that's kind of a dilemma we are quite eagerly taking a part of. needless to say, you do your stuff, buy your stuff. if it's catchy enough for you heck you'll end up miserable in that kind of a consume cycle. this is possible for anyone out there oc.

you can or can't buy. but the question remains the same. do you really need that as much as you thought or fantasized at first place? the mind is clearly a tricky part of the body. you could easily turn to yourself at some point and can manage to manipulate yourself into buying unnecessary items. most of us do this, unknowingly. and when that happens, you'll be devastated by the sheer amount of disappointment that's caused to you by your very own intriguing thoughts and definitions. if you are so willing to consume such a thing. go ahead man. buy every other illusion games. it will not magically change anything on your perception. you'll just have some other distractions in daily life. nothing more. and surely nothing makes sense in this cycle. just for the sake that these games are being removed and will not be reachable in Steam market for an unclear, unforeseeable period of time. i would say they are worth. but to what extend? just to keep in the library? don't think so. if you are not going to experience -♥♥♥♥- around and find out, these are not worth imho.

Odd statement from someone that does not own the game.

Meraco has 1,738 hrs on record.

I on the other hand can state that it does....

So what? Just don't buy it.

It's clearly not worth it, you can get much better stuff for $70 here rather than an overpriced, censored horny bait . This only got my attention span for like 3 solid minutes because it's getting removed.

I'm not buying it. I'm waiting for it to go on sale, which it rarely ever does for more than like 10-15%.

It won't be going on sale. In a few hours time it will no longer be sold. Anywhere.

Apparently it will end at 10 am Japan time on the 18th.

Thats in less than 2 hours. 9PM EST

Oh well, good riddance, I suppose.
