One would hope that illusion will do what they’ve done with their other games and provide a path to dlc add-ons outside of steam so that steam is not seen as a purveyor of naughty bits. It’s win-win
Both games are made by illusion, is how they are related.
From past experience, DLC adds new options for fun with the females in the game, new locations to do it in, new outfits to have them wear, new personalities, new mechanics i.e. tentacles.
Even if you have to get the DLC from the publisher rather than steam in order to absolve steam of "dirty hands" (hehe), it's a win for those of us who are DYING for Honey Select 2 and games like it to come to steam. This ALONE would keep me away from epic forever as they fear breasts something awful (lol).
- Base game on Steam
- Two! completely confusing websites for addons or DLC.
- Game install, R18 patch, demosaic from where who knows where, DLC from other site where com2 has to run to inastall them and outrageous prices for miniDLC's.
Don't get me wrong, I like com2 a lot and would buy it again (content wise etc) but I won't spend the 300 dollars for such bungling anymore.
Simply too tedious. Since I rather put the money in any Patreon things that never appear.
Edit: Just realised com2 was from KISS, but we all know its the same with Illusion. (owning Koikatsu Party)
A little hassle with steam is better than a huge hassle elsewhere. Good luck
The market is growing. No need to wait. I'll play something else until they learn. I'm glad I found Virtamate for me. Subverse will come. Princess Trainer was a lot of fun. And there are many more if you look for them.
I played Com, Artificial Academy and many other H-Games when they couldn't be pirated because they weren't available in the western world, even in japanese language. I went through the whole process (20 years?) and was glad when Steam announced to allow such games. Bought the first ones when they came out (Kiss/Illusion) just to push the platform, even if I didn't want to play them. But not this way, sorry. There is a lot of money to be made in this market - they will realize that when the 0-8-15 user stops playing because of this "little hassle" (R-18 + and especially demosaic).
No need for pirated games or "little hassle".
I vote with my wallet.
