I've not seen anything about AA2 so my question remains; is there conflict and jealousy to spice things up, or are interactions as shallow as this?.
Koikatsu & AI*Shoujo doesn't feature interpersonal conflict = everybody gets along fine and isn't bothered by how many partners you have.
The most recent illusion title with a full on dynamic interpersonal relationship system was Artifical Academy 2 (Jinkō Gakuen 2) in 2014 - all characters (including the PC) have a fluctuating appraisal of all other characters (comprising love, like, dislike and hate values) based on various actions. This can lead to varied stuff like confessions of love, spreading rumours, stalking other characters, brawls, public orgies or, in extreme cases (with an "evil" character trait), assault and murder
