I purchased AI Shoujo from steam obviously. Over the last few days I have looked through information from kind folks trying to unlock things. Everything I have done has failed. So I tried spending the 10 bucks to become a member here, in hopes of just a straight forward download. https://subscribestar.adult/betterrepack

So far, no joy. -- It gives me a code and a download site but it's from March. Nothing works. -- what am I doing wrong?

It was available on MEGA, but Mega suspended several accounts so MEGA links are not working anymore.

But modders are working on renting an own server to host the files.

Why is there so many different patches out there. Why do some say HF patch some say this. -- I am not being ignorant or mean. I'm just confused on why there is so many various patches and the ability to get them. I appreciate you reaching out with the knowledge you have, it just seems like a mess. It makes it difficult to know exactly what needs to be done. So is this the best new one to use? Thank you

And how is this different then the Torrent downloads all over? So this patch does what? The torrent patches do what? -- makes no sense. -- And why if "Mega" stopped with a patch does it have to be a torrent only? --- Seriously, Could just someone say, this is the new patch you want, and here it is.

Look. On Steam the devs removed the H content from the game. To get them back, you can install the official Ecstasy Patch: aisteam.illusion.jp

Since it's an japanese game the H scenes are censored by japanese law (mosaic).

To remove the mosaic you have to install a mod called UncensorSelector – which needs another plugin installed to work. And besided that it needs another mod, the actual uncensored models.

Since there are so many mods out there, someone (ManlyMarco) decided to make a Mod pack (HF Patch) which includes several mods. He is also a programmer and makes his own mods.
So he makes sure the HF Patch only mods which are compatible and working fine together, so that you just can download and install it and play the game without searching for 9000 mods.

It's like in Skyrim: Skyrim also have over 9000 mods, just because thousands of people are interested in that game and wants to share their own creation or mods, which do different things.

Torrents are fast and free, without download restrictions like "As free user you only can download 1 GB a day and only 124 kilobyte/s! If you want unlimited download, pay only $24,99 a month!!1"

So. If you just want the H content back: Install the Ecstasy Patch and you are fine.

If you also want to uncensor things: You need to install Bepinex plugin, the UncensorSelector mod and the uncensored models itself.

As someone who only recently purchased the Steam-version of this game, I can confirm that ManlyMarco's free HF Patch v2.0.1 contains everything you need (as Dunkler Messias has already stated). Unless you want specific cosmetic changes not covered in the pack, you don't need to download anything else once you've installed that patch.

To quote ManlyMarco's Patreon post, it contains "all free updates, fan-made English translations and essential mods." It unlocks *everything*, removing all censorship and adding all the missing anatomy. I had no issues obtaining the 6.19 GB package via torrent and successfully patched my game.

What you signed up for is ScrewThisNoise's Better Repack which, according to the patreon post that links to the page you mentioned: "DOES NOT WORK WITH THE STEAM VERSION, DO NOT APPLY TO THE STEAM VERSION". You bought a modpack specifically designed for the original Japanese release, not the Steam version. Unfortunately, you've wasted your 10 dollars.

STN also doesn't sell access to their repack. So scammed as well. There is a betterrepack for steam, but still, STN does not sell access to it.
