Besides generic interactions like asking the girl how do they feel. They need you to look after there health like giving them food and medicine, sometimes you gotta tell them to go to sleep because they can collapse from exhaustion.
They will sometimes give/ask for gifts or ask you to eat/spend time with them.
The girls will talk with each other and they might wonder off to specific spots to have sex with each other, they can even have sex with the NPC merchant.
The girls will go around the island and collect items for you, if you give them upgraded tools they can find better stuff.
The girls have stats that will influence there behaviour, there are items to manipulate the stats.
You can eventually give the girls skills to further influence behaviour some of the skills can make it so the girls dont need food or so they wont collapse from exhaustion.
You can give an earn the appropriate skills to gift to the replicants so they can cook and seek your attention and love.
Or you can run around the map and ignore the girls and pretend it's dark souls. It's really up to you how much you put into it.
If trust level is high enough you get unlocks and see their machine learning evolve. If trust is high enough and they follow and listen you can sit down and eat with them for more engagement. Also depending on how you treat them they will evolve into different personality types.
6 is enough. to be honest. depending what you "feed" (perfumes, books and gems) them they have different growth and evolutions. Kinda like normal replicants. The traits you give them at creation matter a lot in how they grow and what kind of convos you have with them. They made the evolution tree very complicated and hidden but at 4 hearts you know what traits they have and what kind of person they become after the convos.
this is old data.. but since you aren't registered to f95zone you can't read more.

The Darkness, Villany, Confusion trait makes more injuries and problems and creates drama.
Humanity/Reason is the Blue Book stuff.. aka You can get them to fish properly.
Red items instinct you can get beast master they will bring home cats and pets
Caution/Villigalance make them more self aware of taking care of themselves to not overheat/overcold/fatitgue/exhaust.. unless you wear them out.
Fem/Pheromones is just pretty much lack of connection
Trust is just that. you can get a feel for what they need and recommend what is good or ask for help
Sex/Perv self explainitory.
Social will turn into modern IRL NPCS replicants and frick anything that moves. aka you are a accessory to their existance.
1 personality is enough if my favorite personality is there, and 100 are not enough if that one personality is not there.
During creation those traits have an overall effect on behavior and evolution. it's not really complicated.

Personally, I go with negative darkness or no darkness, low pheromones/fem, something with high trust.. the table below that show their starting values and the table below that one the advancements of the traits daily. it's easier to see with the STN:BR and agent trainer. Plain and boring is sometimes better then..."modern" then again it's taste and preference.
See the google spread sheet I posted it's how all of them evolve to at 4 hearts. 2 posts above.
Somewhat bland sorta like the interactions of the thralls in Conan exiles if you played that coupled with a few generic story lines similar to Skyrim npcs. That or sims 4 if you cut about half their interaction options away or slightly more. Aside from that you can customize their personality traits once they develop grow in stats.
But you should not expect and deep visual novel level interacts and personality to them.
I must agreed.
I give it passing score / attempt.
2017 (13 October) PlayHome
2018 (26 January) Play Home: Append + Studio (Add-on Expansion)
2018 (27 April) Koikatu [Unity v5.6.2 (instead of Illusion's depreciated Yayoi engine). ]
2018 (21 December) Koikatu: After School (Add-on Expansion)
2019 (26 April) Emotion Creator
2019 (25 October) AI Syoujyo [Unity 2018 2.21f1] ( Why they didn't use the LTS (Long Term Support I haven't a clue) yeah and good luck trying to have anyone help you learn how to load it up in Unity 3D and improve mod the game if it's not directly studio or model related from the modding community. Hell you can't even hire a modder to screen share and give you a tutorial.)
Quality of a game and the amount of time REALLY makes a serious difference.
Playhome Add-on Expansion, 26 January 2018 then just 4 months on to Koikatu... but then another 9 months on the expansion. So a 13 months? That was a decent 1 year development cycle.
3 Months on Emotion Creator which I don't even know anything about
6 Months on AI Syoujyo put out a few little mini DLC's and things
https://wiki.anime-sharing.com/hgames/index.php?title=AI_Syoujyo/News
But it didn't seem like they were really trying I don't understand. Maybe they had 2 diff teams? a mini team and a big team? once a project completed they would merge the groups or something?
Well at least they completed the ingame translation to english dub. I really wish they weren't so Nintendo and more open to the modding community.
I would have like more character interactions and well more echii poses and a ton of small fixes. With having Studio and a Fresh Game map not compatible. Missing some crafting recipes and items... And hiding the walkables, crawl throughs and hops as well as other non labeled designated "spots" on the map. REALLY hurt them and this 6 month dev cycle? too damn short. They didn't take enough time and it seems like they only had 1 or 2 okay-ish story/dialog writers working for them. I can understand if learning to use Unity 2018 vs Unity v5 was stumbling block but. They really could have made it a very nice game. I understand if people "want more ecchi", "want more story", "want more character development". I don't understand why they didn't throw themselves fully at it.
Maybe Honey Select 2 will buy them the time to make a proper AI Syoujyo 2 where they can relax and start working with the modding community. Skyrim and Sims 4 has a huge modding community surrounding smexy time.
I don't regret buying it to support them but yeah not their best work. The repack gave me over 100 hours first play through with no cheats. 2nd play though was with all the scripts, bells, whistles and island mods.
I like the Character creator. I was able to make some really amazing looking women (at least to my particular tastes).
The very least it would be nice to see a few developers here on the Steam board to actually read our input.
Overall I give it a 6.9/10. Koikatsu was a 7.9/10 just because it was only anime looking. Honey Select 8.9/10 but you couldn't change your protagonist and L scenes were very limited.
3dsxxxvilla was pretty much a 9.5/10 but having the same repeating voices lines the lack of emotions and the shear amount of mods that settings and things that could go wrong was astoundish.. And that was just the Community side. (Those people were super nice to be honest) thrixx really dropped the ball trying to make a microtranaction out of VERY SINGLE component, furniture, hair, outfits, and rooms. It honestly killed them as a company. And that is exactly the way that Epic, Activision/Blizzard, EA, Ubisoft even Bethesda are going to bury themselves.
Now. back to Doom Eternal (no micro transactions) and some Turn-Based rpgs. :)
Heck, This is my review.
