In-Game Marketplace
So, if you purchase an add-on, from within the game, is that add-on attached to Steam as a DLC or is it going through the Microsoft Store and thus it will not be compatible with the Steam version?

I think you can just remove the whole "Steam" thing from the equation.
All Steam does is start the MSFS launcher. Inside the game you are logged into an XBOX account, and all your puchases are linked to that account.

If you bought the deluxe or premium deluxe those planes and airports are linked to that xbox account, not your Steam account.

Just after installed the sim there are dlcs in marketplace on day1 (!), worth more then 100 bucks. Is this normal? (noob question)

Second question, if this goes on in this speed, how much do you pay for all the stuff? Hundreds, thousands?

You don’t have to buy all add-ons in simulators like this or Train Sim World, etc

Yes more then thousand. Xplane 11 is on 2000 with official addons. But yes, you buy only what you need. This is not a game with normal dlcs. In real-life you don't buy every socks on the world. Only which you like

Okay, I see what you're saying. So I shouldn't anticipate that Steam will have a "Content for this Game" section, or DLC's, like they did for FSX and X-Plane 11. Thanks for responding. I appreciate it.

How much did you pay and in what currency? I read from other users that marketplace addons cost more for Steam users when compared with those who bought MSFS from the Windows Store. Is this true? Was going to go with the Steam version but if the marketplace is more expensive for steam users then I'll buy the sim directly from the Windows Store.
