Add-ons seem to take TWICE as much drive space as they need. Ideas?
I have a lot of add-ons. Too many, no doubt.

This has caused drive space to be a real concern. I've already added a terrabyte drive for use ONLY by microsoft flight simulator But, as it turns out, even that is not enough.

Why? Oddly, every add-on appears to reserve to itself TWICE as much space as the add-on ACTUALLY takes up on the drive.

An airport that takes up 500 megabytes, for example "on disk" will nevertheless take away a full 1000 megabytes, roughly.

Is there anyway to adjust this? I imagine that microsoft wanted to leave some "extra space" for future updates -- but it seems to me that far TOO MUCH space is being set aside. As a consequence, I'll have to buy a two terrabyte drive, and re-download everything (and go through a lot of other fiddling, since moving the sim to another drive is NOT that easy).

For those of us that treat this as a serious hobby, and spend a lot of money over the years, this seems to be a potentially serious problem.

I'm using an SSD drive by the way, and running Windows 10. EVERYTHING I've obtained came through the microsoft in-game market, after starting the game on Steam.
