Little NavMap - No Icon in game?
I just installed the little NavMap utility. I has been setup to run with MSFS, but I don't se the NavMap icon in the icon bar when in a plane. What am I missing? (No flight plans created with the app yet). App and game is running on the same computer

LNM does not by itself integrate within the game. It's an external application that you interact with externally. You can save the flight plans within it and then load them from within MSFS.

There are addons that make the map available inside the game but you still essentially do most of your interaction with the external application.

Edit: Though I'm only really talking about getting LNM inside MSFS, naturally, LNM reads data from MSFS and displays that accordingly.

I have tried to make this work, but no luck: LNM works fine when launched from a folder on my hard drive. The toolbar app folder is placed in the "Community" folder under my user. It generates a blank icon in the toolbar on cockpit screen, but clicking it results in no action. What am I missing? I also tried to place the LNM in the "Community" folder, but no luck...

So, first things first, it might not work, it hasn't been updated for 15 months. Certainly, people have said as much if you look at the issues.

That said, I'm not sure much would really have changed to break it that badly and it might be possible to edit some of the files to get it working. I do notice right away that you really don't want the build folder. but I suppose that's not the end of the world.

Thx for the response, but what do you mean by "the build folder"?

So, you downloaded a zip file from GitHub. Inside that you want to find the mod folder, "fs-base-ingamepanels-lnm". That folder wants to go inside the community folder. Then, inside "fs-base-ingamepanels-lnm", there is a folder named "Build". This isn't needed for the mod to function, this is what was used inside the MSFS SDK to build the "fs-base-ingamepanels-lnm.spb" file, which is essentially part of the mod in another folder.

There is mention in the issues pull requests on GitHub that previously when someone had issue with things not displaying correctly in VR, they rebuilt the .spb file. This is why these files ended up being included. Potentially, setting up a project in dev mode and rebuilding it from these files in the current release might fix things.

Edit: Sorry, it was in the pull request not the issue pages.
