Also maybe I just never figured it out but for me to make the add on profitable I tried to have AI fly when I wasn't and most the time it was not profitable so I am not sure where I went wrong.
The main thing is I just want something that adds a little more to MSFS. After awhile just picking a random airport and flying to or from it gets boring.
Have you looked at NeoFly? Or SkyPark? They may be too far toward the casual end for you, but you CAN fly where you want when you want in them.
I have seen neofly, I have not tried it because when I was looking at it it did not appear you could use the Airbus or Boeing which is what I like to fly the most and I have not heard of skypark so I will look at it now... Out of all that have been mentioned which have you used and do you prefer?
I use SkyPark. I quite enjoy it. It's very light on the management side of things. It's very good for jumping in and flying what you want, where you want, when you want. So, if you want to do A330 jobs out of a certain airport, you can do that. And you can do it straight away ... as soon as you finish the introductory flight.
It's no-where near as deep or involved as OnAir and the like. NeoFly is very similar but free -though, unless you play in sandbox mode, you'll need to build your rank and earn money to buy aircraft. With SkyPark, you can fly anything in your hangar right from the get go.
Note that SkyPark is in Early Access at the moment, so, even though you earn money and have a karma rating as you do jobs, there's nothing to spend the money on yet and the karma rating only affects what jobs you get to see in a pretty nominal way. The intention of the devs is to expand all this once they have a good feel for how quickly people earn and affect their karma. But they have stated that,no matter what is to come, you will NEVER have to buy an aircraft in SkyPark to be allowed to fly it.
I've also used NeoFly and it's good too for a similar casual experience - though there is a ranking system and you do need to buy planes if you use the add-on the way it is intended. However, there is a "sandbox" mode that is very similar to SkyPark and lets you use whatever aircraft you like regardless of your rank.
Of the two, I much prefer SkyPark. But it's not free, or even cheap really (considering it is in early access). But it's a one-off payment (though I believe there will be subscription options in the future) and it's more polished and more relaxed about what it allows you to do. NeoFly is free though - so, considering that, it's really very good too and I couldn't really complain about either of them.
