Given that the Steam Edition specifically states that it is for FSX, the odds that it would work with a different sim (MSFS) would be low.

They released a version specifically for MSFS; if it's not that one, it almost certainly won't work.

Feel free to pay another $50 for the game modes that should have been included by Microsoft

Asobo is having a hard enough time without having to deal with issues not related to flying

Your first Flight Simulator? Stuff like this was always 3rd party.

No, I have Flight Sim World as well. They released beta version of the campaign/job mode just before pulling the plug.

Talking about a failed project that barely could be told it was a sim. I mean the bigger titles mate. X-Plane, FSX... those kinda. It's just a platform. The rest you buy.

Sadly true but as long as people keep paying hundreds of dollars for these addons Microsoft won't even bother working on it, using an overpriced external software to "simulate" a career mode "in" the simulator (which it doesn't) is plain idiotic, especially when this creator can pull the plug at anytime, hopefully this time Microsoft will create one but I won't hold my breathe.

The game is missing even some basic flight planning tools (weather data, radio frequencies, elevation maps etc.) Serious players must refer to outside resources all the time. And fanboys are like "it's always been like this" and "there are tons of add-ons for this and that".
