Trim on PS4 DS4 Controller not working

The default configuration for trimming on my controller is triangle + one of the buttons on the d pad. It recognizes the button presses, when setting up the controls but it wont work in game. Anyone having a similar experience?

which trim? i use the ds4 also on pc.

Elevator trim works, aileron does not. I also reconfigured the binding and it still didn't work

As unbelievably stupid as this is going to sound, plug the controller into a USB 2.0 port. I cant begin to tell you why, but when plugged into a USB 3.0 port it starts inverting the D-Pad and left joystick around. Give a USB 2.0 port on your PC a try and see if that works.

None of them work. Rebinding was ok (Binding to a single button instead of a combination of two), but with the limited amount of buttons on the controller, i have to unbind another function and i dont really want to do that.
Brakes arent working on default config too, also triangle or button 4 i believe.
Then i have the known issues with rudder on the triggers not functioning properly.
Also game crashes when unplugging the controller.

@Ash Just tested a USB 2.0 Port and it sadly did not help.

I had this same problem until I connected the controller with bluetooth instead of usb and from the Steam menus went to "Steam->Settings->Controller->General Controller Settings" and checked "PlayStation Configuration Support". After that the game picks it up as an Xbox controller and all the buttons work properly.

Edit: not sure if just one or both of those things are needed. It just worked after I did both.

I am using "DS4Windows" now to mask my DS4 as an XBOX 360 Controller and this is "working" so far. I can use the brakes and trim now. Not the ideal solution though. I got FS via XBox Game Pass, which is probably why Steam Controller Settings arent working for me.

Brake didn't work for me until I installed DS4Windows, but even then trim didn't work with default Y+up/down bindings. I rebound it to X+up/down instead and now it works. Hope it will help someone.

the Trim wheel do's not respond to the Saitek trim wheel, or the Saitek trim wheel on the autopilot. When in flight it seams to be assocciated to the games tutorial mode wavering from 5 degrees up to 5 degrees down. Any Ideas any one
