VR Headset not detected
I am using an Oculus Rift and can not get MSFS to detect the headset. Anybody else getting this?

I have tried:
reinstalling Oculus software
Reinstalling MSFS
Reinstalling Steam VR
Disabling Steam input under controller settings from Steam game setting

Still the headset is not detected.

Well, I seem to have resolved it by doing a wipe of my Windows install. It must have been something in my registry. My hunch is that it was something with the Windows Mixed reality app that I installed into Steam. I am only using an Oculus now which WMR is not compatible with. I tried uninstalling that but it didn't help. After doing a quick install of Windows I was able to use Oculus. But yeah my view is weird too. everything moves up when I move my head down like i'm looking through a fishbowl. I'll have to keep messing with it to see if that changes.

Same problem here with HTC Vive. I've been playing recently Half Life:Alyx and Il-2 Sturmovik in VR with no issues.
Is anybody there in Microsoft reading these comments?
I purchased this simulator just because VR was supported. How is it possible that it doesn't work with vanilla VR headsets?

I'm considering requesting a refund, this is unacceptable.

NON-WMR HEADSETS
If You Are Using a Non-WMR headset:
Oculus users please opt-in to the Oculus Rift Public Test Channel to enable support: https://support.oculus.com/200468603765391

Before using VR in Flight Simulator with an Oculus headset, the computer needs to know the location of the OpenXR runtime to use. Please follow the steps below to set this location in the registry:
Right-click on your Start menu and select Run.
Type in “regedit” (without quotations) and hit Enter. This will launch the Registry Editor.
Locate the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\OpenXR\1
For ActiveRuntime change its value to the one that matches your platform (note: default path is shown below):
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\oculus_openxr_64.json
Close the Registry Editor. You are now ready to enter VR with your Oculus headset.
