Controller keys registering in settings but NOT while flying.

The controller is a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro

As I said in the title, all of its keys are working in the control settings -- but some of those keys don't while flying a plane.

Some of those would be (I think) Keys 1 (trigger button customized for braking) and key 6 (set to [hold] for reverse thrust -- reverse thrust also does not work when throttle is at 0% (I checked if it completely disengaged which it did)

On my PS4 controller brakes button doesn't work too or trim combination (bakes + up\down). It works in menu and on keyboard but not on controller during the flight.

There seems to be a consistent theme coming out in a few recent threads of controller buttons / keyboard keys not working properly or at all.

For instance, my Escape key (PC) isn't working and if I go into the training my keyboard keys aren't working at all.

Hopefully they are working on it.

yes, I CAN'T get to the main menu when flying. the ESC key does nothing and the key map I set also does not work. So, I have to alt tab out and click X or right click to close the game.
It is utterly ridiculous that I can't get to the main menu :(

I usually never play with a controller and only bought one for this game >.<

EDIT: turns out you have to enable the controller in steam settings first (settings -> controller)
but now I can no longer adjust trigger sensitivity... it's all over the place

This happens to me when my input focus gets stuck on a flypad form input. Selecting a different camera position from the camera menu unlocks the controls again.

To get Pilot View back it's better to press END then INSERT but may require fiddling with if stuck on a View by trying External first.
