Connection issues forcing offline mode.
Every single time I fly I get the following message...

"Your connection had an issue while streaming data, you have been switched to offline mode."

My internet connection is great (speedtest says very fast. Is anyone else getting this?

Same problem here. I don't even know, what that "issue" might be. Internet connection is flawless.

The "your connection" phrasing may be assuming a bit much. It is definitely possible MS is having some issues.

But I guess you figured that too. ^_^

I did, but I wonder why it's just me and a few others that get this error. At least, a google search brought up only one single match...

If I try to cache a region, I get a Bing API error. Perhaps, this is a related issue?

I've managed to get into online mode by limiting the data daily limit for some reason. I don't however think I'm getting the proper streaming maps. I'm in the second leg of the Nevada bush flight & when I fly over the landing site ask u see is a brown area with no definition

I’ve subsequently found that I was having issues because of my VPN (Surfshark). Disabling that allows me to fly without the data cap & with full visuals

vpn's limit your data cap because you're going through their servers, you almost never get the data rate that your actual ISP gives you after going into a vpn, MFS doesn't see your data cap so it'll attempt to go over it, clog your isp and leave you with disconnects if you don't have the cap threshold lower than your bandwidth :)

I think I found the solution. I had to shut off/reconfigure my pi-hole dns blocker. Now, it works much better.
