MSFS 2020 won't complete mandatory update

I've been attempting to complete the MSFS 2020 install and mandatory update for 80+ hours. I've followed the advise to delete files that are hanging in the decompressing phase, and have narrowed it down to one file that hangs on decompress (deleted it 13 times, now luck decompressing): microsoft-aircraft-a310-300-1.1.25.fspackage which downloads at a file size of 680MB, but hangs while decompressing. Please advise. Yes, I'm pissed off. ;-)

Go to...(installation folder)Official\OneStore and scroll to the bottom of the window, there are lots of folders in there but you will see the *.fspackage files that are ‘stuck decompressing’ there. Delete those.

Run MSFS, it will re-download the package(s) again and should decompress all way through… Perhaps until the next package that might get stuck… Then repeat the steps again


If running the steam version....
