Will MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 be separate games or will the 2020 version just be updated to 2024 as a separate edition?

You'd expect they would just provide an UPGRADE for MSFS2020 Customers but instead they piss on them. We therefore are presumed that we would be so daft enough to BUY IN FULL a Product we already have and not Download all of its DLC they include. A very crap and discriminating system.

I have no idea of what logic you are using to arrive at your conclusion. Microsoft has rarely made payware upgrades to FS. FSX Acceleration is the only one I can think of. Well, technically FSX-SE as well but that was a third-party game licensed by MS, and Bruce Artwick released Flight Simulator 5.1 and that was before Microsoft bought him out. Either Microsoft has made freeware Service Packs, and no more than two per edition, or they've released a new sim.

You don't actually have to buy anything you don't want to buy. You're just unhappy that they aren't giving you more apples for free. It's their right to sell it as a fruit collection if they choose to.

DCS got it right from the very start. FREE GAME and Pay For What Ya Need. SIMPLE and not greedy. I am absolutely loving it and looking forward to their upcoming MIG-29 Release. No wonder kids are not playing MSFS. It is hugely expensive in so many ways unless you get it all for free somewhere huh.

The MS method of BREAKING a Product when the next is pending is so clear. They will no doubt include ADS just to tick that box too.

Yes. That is true. I absolutely expect Microsoft and I to keep doing what we have been doing for 40 years. I have been supporting this series for that long and I am not stopping now. And it warms my heart that it annoys you.

MS have not acted the way they did before and we are facing a FULL PRODUCT to be paid for without the option to pay for added DLC but pay for it all in FULL UP FRONT. Not only that but it is simply an UPGRADE of the exact same MSFS2020 but with a revised (probably now illegal AI Development as is frowned upon by the Industry) and uses the excuse of Download what we need to save DISK SPACE. The exact same Planes for both versions are being used by the same exact files. It clearly is just an UPGRADE and it's success hinges on:

1. Good Internet Speeds By Customers
2. MSFS 2020 performance will become slower and left with BUGS and an amateur WORLD MAP interface

Will it even use DLSS 3.7 and do similar to the renowned Dynamic LOD and others alike? Well it already uses the exact same crappy ATC which does not get any bloody Upgrade huh so I doubt that very much. MS are just utter crap at this. Take the current system of DOWNLOADING and then look at how the entire opposite approach of this yet on their crappy slow Servers will ultimately be the ruin.

Asobo have already let features in MSFS2024 come into this and is more reason why they simply need to add a FREE UPGRADE TO ALL CUSTOMERS as we are not at War and they have no reason to be greedy to make LIFE MORE COSTLY for us when they do not need crap loads of money.

SO ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS WHEN IS MY FREE UPGRADE???

I am making a statement that people that just sit back and take all the bad practices dished out by these companies are part of the problem. You go ahead and buy all the apples as a package, even though you only want to eat one.
The way you defend M$ is even more reason that I believe you work for M$.

So don't buy it. Bad practices is your opinion only. I have no issue with the versioning model that will give us a new and improved 16th version. This is how we pay for more development with this series and big bonuses for the Microsoft execs. You don't have to like it. One way or the other if you want apples you need to pay for them.
