How do you completley uninstall msfs?
I have been looking for the files to uninstall but have been unsuccessful so far. Any help is much appreciated.

I find this really annoying. The last time I uninstalled (last year), it didn't clean everything and I had to manually search and remove. For me, it was C:\users\name\appdata\roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator. Make sure "view hidden files & folders" is selected in the windows explorer options too.

1) Hit the Windows key and type

%appdata%

..then hit enter.

2) Open the Microsoft Flight Simulator folder.

3) Find the file named UserCFG.opt and open it with a text editor, Notepad will do.

4) Scroll to the bottom of the file and read the line InstalledPackagesPath. This is where you installed the game content. Make a note of it.

5) Use the uninstall function in Steam.

6) Double check the path read from the UserCFG.opt file. If it still exists, manually delete it.

7) If you really want to remove things completely, delete the Microsoft Flight Simulator folder inside appdata/roaming and local. You'll also have data stored inside Steam/userdata under the games appid folder 1250410. This is your game profile, logbook and controller confirgurations which may or may not have been backed up to Steam cloud depending on your settings.
