MSFS crashing after nvidia driver update

Hey guys,

There's been an update on nvidia driver today and after installing it, the MSFS keeps crashing to with an error message:

"Your graphics device has encountered a problem and the application will exit. This may be due to graphics card overclocking, overheating or due to a driver fault".

Just wondering if anyone else has comes across this issue?

Anyone have any solution? MSFS used to run good, at least with nVidia ver. 531.29, after the latest MSFS update, I need to fall back even further to 528.49 in order to get a smooth, CTD free experience.

This is a very hot topic on the official forums. I personally am running 531.61 with MSFS virtually maxed out with DX 12 and frame generation enabled and have not ran into this in a very long time.

3070Ti, i rolled back to 531.29 as suggested elsewhere and its still VERY crash happy. maybe a little better? but .29 doesnt seem to be saving it from this crash, and i NEVER had it before i updated my drivers recently too... that said, i was running drivers from October last year haha...

The same happened to me. I have a brand new expensive computer and trying to keep it as clean as posible.
But ofcourse I downloaded the update and since then it crashes with that messeges after 20 min MSFS 2020.
I hope something will be done soon.
