Step 2: If you have a Nvidia graphics card get the latest drivers from Geforce Experience. Similar process for AMD GPU's.
Step 3: Go to Steam and Microsoft Flight Simulator Right Click, Properties, Local Files, Validate game files.
Step 4: Launch Microsoft Flight Simulator and let it Idle on the Homepage "Press any button to continue screen." For 2-3 Minutes. I find this allows the game time to check and validate game files. In my experience rushing through the Press any key can lead to the program crashing.
If none of the above helps you my best suggestion is to submit a ticket on the Microsoft flight simulator support site. https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
Submit a new request detailing the problem. Don’t forget to add a DxDiag and Msinfo to help with the investigation.
To create Dxdiag, simply follow these steps:
· In Windows, select Start and enter “dxdiag” into the search box on the taskbar. Select dxdiag from the results.
· In the tool, click on 'Save All Information' and wait a few seconds
· Save the file as a 'Text File (*.txt)' on your desktop
· Attach the file to your response.
To provide a Microsoft System Information MSINFO32, do the following steps below:
· Press Windows + R keys to open the Run command window
· Type msinfo32 in the dialogue box and click OK or press Enter.
· This will open the System Information, click File and select Export
· Name your file as “msinfo32.txt” and make sure it is saved as a text file (.txt).
· Save the file to your Desktop.
Was having same problem as OP and this worked, also had to do a full shut down and power on of my system between step 3 & 4.
Thanks for the fix
