Screen Flickers Black

Has anyone else encountered the Screen flickering black?

In 3rd person camera flying around (and first person), occasionally the screen goes black but I can still see all of the gauge overlays on the screen (3rd person) and I either have to move the camera to get the video back or pause the game. I'm not sure what the problem is (thinking its just the buggy game but who knows)

If anyone knows the fix I'd appreciate it.

Here are some screenshots of when the world goes black 3 images[imgur.com]

You can still see all your gauges (when in 3rd person) but all of the 3D rendering gets rendered black, even the lighting making it look like the screen went black. In one of the screenshots you can tell the plane is still on the screen even though you cant see it as it is partially blocking a Airport Nameplate in the bottom left.

Note, I know it has nothing to do with after burner or riva because it still does it without them running

I have the same issue and I haven't figured out what the problem is yet. I also get the same thing in Call of Duty Modern Warfare. I have an i9-9900k and a GTX1080. I'm hoping the problem is the graphics card as I plan to upgrade to the RTX3080 soon.

Only difference I have noticed is down clock your gpu by -20 in MSI Afterburner, makes my flicker go away. I don't know why but some games just hate the 1080 and I have to downclock for some of them to work. Jurassic World Evolution for example, I have to downclock my GPU by 50 for that game to not crash

I have never had a black screen like that but sometimes I get a problem where the instruments go black in the cockpit cam and I need to save and then load it to get them visible again.

could have something to do with scenery mods, right after I installed a scenery mod that happened
