How much cost Deluxe & Premium upgrade in Marketplace?
Hi. I just want to do cost comparison if I let say buy Standard edition and in the future I will decide to upgrade to Deluxe or Premium via Marketplace.

Buy the edition you want first. Otherwise it will be much more expensive. The upgrade pricing for FS 2020 is a travesty.

I already own the upgrades, therefore Marketplace won't show me the price. I believe the Premium Deluxe upgrade was $89.99. That's in addition to whatever you paid for Standard.

Thanks

Pricing from release as follows,

Upgrade Standard to Deluxe $80
Upgrade Deluxe to Premium $100 (well, it's more like the cost of entry for just premium content)
Upgrade Standard to Premium $85

Yeah, their upgrade price to go from the Deluxe tier to the Premium tier is insane, and it was obviously meant to encourage people to go all-in with Premium from either the Standard version or at initial purchase. Also, the minor difference between the Deluxe or the Premium tier when upgrading from Standard was to add more leverage for Premium.

Thanks. These prices looks really, really expensive. Based on that it is nearly like buying a game twice.
Question - do you know if all planes from Deluxe version (I mean only the one which are not available in Standard version can be purchased individually from Market place? Let say I don't want to upgrade to Deluxe version, but I will purchase the Standard version only and buy let say only one or two planes which I like which are available in Deluxe version only. This (in theory) should be much cheaper. Ok, I will not get all planes which offer Deluxe version, but this is not a big deal for me. I'm not going to fly all planes, but only a few my favourite ones.

No, the five Deluxe and the five Premium aircraft are not available individually.

My advice is to wait a couple weeks and see if this is discounted significantly during the Winter Sale. If it goes down to 40% or 50%, buy at a higher tier. You might be able to get everything for what Standard normally costs.

Thanks. It's a shame that developers made the planes in Deluxe and Premium not available for individual purchase. The same probably will be in MFS2024. Currently Marketplace is close there so there is no way to verify what planes will be available.

The 3-tier pricing was a clusterf to begin with. Completely confusing and unnecessary.

And then they gave away so much tangential content free. So much good stuff. But the basics are still pure frustration. Basic menu login still unfixed. Just why. Who tf was in the sales department and decided that strategy?

Pilots want to buy and fly. Beginner or experienced.

I bought the standard and then realized the steam gauge 172 was not in it. So then I upgraded. I ended up spending way more than if I had just bought the right version in the first place. The upgrade price was ridiculous. To be honest, I've never seen another game on Steam with such a ridiculous and steep upgrade cost. And I have something like 970 games (yes, I have a problem :)) so I should have seen this nonsense by now and I have not.

The developers have stated numerous times that the extra planes from the deluxe and premium editions will be available for individual purchase on MFS2024. Since the Marketplace is still closed, it's only a guess how much they will be. My guess is that they will probably be the same price as the Local Legends and Famous Flyers sell for now $15.00.
