VFR Flight Path not loading.
My "magenta" ribbon for my VFR map wont show when I launch flights. The only way I've managed to fix this is by completely reinstalling the game, only for it to break the very next flight I launch.

I came here hoping for advice, but it looks like people across the game are having a bunch of different issues right now. Looks like developers jumped ship to go work on MSFS2024 instead :(

If anyone has any tricks on how I can fix this, I'd really appreciate it <3

I don't use the stock VFR map. I prefer using the PMS50 GTN 750 or Sky4Sim (both have free versions) or Navigraph instead.

With that said, there must be a reason your magenta line isn't appearing. Does it happen with all aircraft, or only sometimes or with specific aircraft? Are you choosing a destination when you create your flight?

Also, I noticed this weekend that the new Simbrief Dispatcher can be a bit temperamental when editing flight plans started with the free flight menu. Double check you have a route before you hit the Fly button.
I think this is related the navlog issue where you put in a flight plan and enter the sim and the navlog is essentially blank with only your airport of origin. It means that the plan is not actually entered into the world map and so there is no line, b/c there is no flight plan. However, I've noticed that even when this occurs the WT avionics as well as the PMS GTN 750 will show the flight plan. I'm not sure how they get the flight plan but the navlog fails to see it. But for sure this happens quite often and it is very annoying. It also makes it nearly impossible to plan an IFR flight in an airline and program the FMS b/c the navlog is borked. The resolution there is to use SimBrief and let it handle the FMS stuff. Thankfully, SimBrief is free to use.

I believe this is also why sometimes when you enter a flight plan into the FMS or into any GA avionics, ATC is completely unaware of the plan and you will not be able to ask for IFR clearance. It is b/c the data has not been entered into the world map and therefore ATC knows nothing about it. It is a major oversight and a terrible thing to have to put up with.

This is the kind of stuff that should have been fixed long long long ago and is core to a flight simulator experience. And it has nothing to do with being able to walk around in first person or go view the Grand Canyon in 1 million times more detail than anyone cares about or ever cared about. Perfect example of core fundamental flight 'stuff' being broken and yet never fixed or addressed in favor of other eye candy or stuff that does not matter in the least. Lack of focus creates a broken product.

It's just randomly happening regardless of the aircraft I'm trying to fly. Destination is chosen, flight path is entered properly in the world view, but when the simulator loads it disappears. I'm definitely entering the route and am making sure it's there before i load the sim.
The PMS50 GTN is really easy tool to use to punch in or edit a flight plan once you are in the scenario. It doesn't even have to be your primary GPS display, you can simply pull it down from your toolbar menu. It's also a great tool for tuning radios manually and looking up airport information. And as I said before, its a free app with unlimited use. The free version gives you 90% of its functionality. The benefits of upgrading to the paid version are negligible, even if (or especially if) you have a Navigraph account.
