Weird Issues Suddenly

I uninstalled MSFS2020 to have a look at MSFS2024 but too many issues for me so came back to MSFS2020. Day 1 (yesterday) it was fine but today I'm encountering all sorts of strange issues. Namely ...
1. Some keyboard actions don't work eg F5 etc for flaps, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, same with G for landing gear.
2. After taking off I'm finding the flaps go from 10% to 0% on their own.
3. The screens on the Beechcraft Baron G-58 suddenly go dark.
I've tried different assist options to no avail. Doing some reading folk seem to have had similar problems after an update but I'm pretty sure that's not the case with me, I've just returned to the state it was before I uninstalled.
Anyone got any suggestions please?

1. Some aircraft may have automatic speed limiters to prevent damage? idk.
2. Same for auto-retract flaps above speed. The TBM930 does it iirc.
3. Is 'avionics master' switch bound to any other commonly-used input? Any way to recreate the symptom consistently?

Thanks for your reply. Thing is this is on the Bombardier G58 which I've flown quite a bit previously without issue. I'll try what you suggest though. I think I've done something in the Assist options which hasn't reset even though I've reset to defaults.
I've tried validating the installation files too.
