Problem booting MSFS202 after recent windows update
Hi, after the latest windows 11 update the msfs2020 stopped working. The game loads to 50% and shuts down. I uninstalled everything clean and reinstalled steam and msfs2020 and the problem persists. Can anyone know how to fix this or wait for another windows update?

You can always try Uninstalling last WIN11 Update. I froze mine at 23H2 and yet still it attempts to get the Critical Update to improved File Managing but gets stuck at 96%. It also refuses a Manual Install as it says "Already Installed". As that was a March Update I await proper fixes for the BITS. It might just need doing within Secure Boot but need the TEMP installer deleted to do so. For me this update is KB5053602.

You might try removing your REDIST C++ and getting latest version for your chip....

Finally, I found problem.
DO DELETE 'NVIDIA APP'
That's recently added 'NVIDIA APP' is causing the crash.
Deleting the nvidia app worked. Thanks mate!
My MSFS 2020 will not open beyond checking for updates, should I re install the program ? Any ideas ?

Did you use FULLSCREEN MODE = ALT+ENTER and then click UPDATE?
Else if it is hanging during any updating then you must manually remove that last file by DATE/TIME in File Explorer inside PACKAGES Folder.

It really is beyond AMAZING CRAP that ASOBO/MS allow that MSFS BUG to carry on and not put out a WARNING to Customers about not to use NVIDIA APP until they fix that bugger.

Huh. Interesting. MS2020 updated today.
I'm really hoping this NVApp doesn't crash the prog.

I do use the NVApp because it saves gameplay to the HDD in .mp4 format.
Portable common format. Nice and easy.
However video file size can get huge, very quickly, on 60fps w/ higher quality settings.

Without deleting entirely, you can probably kill all instances in Task Mngr before loading.
