Stuck On Blue Line

I went to install the game and it said I didn't have enough space so I closed out the game and swapped my drives now I started up the game it said "Checking for updates" Now I am just stuck with a blue line at the bottom not moving at all? I uninstalled and re-installed and the same thing?

No, its frozen when in this state. You need to do as many have already said. You can try force quitting and relaunch. For me that didn't work, I had to force quit, uninstall, quit steam, reinstall, launch it, you should then see a message to download a 91 GB file.

Steam edition seems very unstable combared to MS Store edition.

Maybe its gonna help some people ! I restarted my game a few times. Unistall the 500mb luncher and start over ! Make sure your XBOX app have the same file directory than steam( same drive ) Run as admin and use the steam folder to install it. It suddenly it worked for me and my friend

i downloaded an geforce driver prior and got the same thing. Uninstall reinstall. then restart the computer worked for me.

Yeah considering my D drive is 1TB it tried to install it into my C drive that only had 56gb of space left... easy change but annoying none the less.

Make sure you are installing to the Microsoft flight sim folder which has been created in your steam folder. thats what solved the blue bar issue for me. hope it helps

I confirm that running as admin also worked for me to get the download started. I had tried relaunching several times without any change, but this seems to have fixed it, and it's coming down now (slowly...)

Yeah I changed the install path to Microsoft Flight Sim/Packages in my steam folder.

I restarted my PC and that fixed it for me (per someone else's recommendation).

I had to restart the game over 6 times till it would let me choose a drive to install everything onto, just keep trying.

thats weird...I HAD to install to the steam directory in order to get past the blue bar issue. i had tried multiple times directing to my other main games folder (on the same drive) but nope.

I'm on blue bar after reinstall and several restarts, I'm after the update screen, I chosen a different drive then C, I have very little space on my C yet MSFS starts filling up that space 8 GB then I'm out of space on C and I'm stuck....

alt + enter to get to windowed mode worked for me. Now downloading. Restartet mulitple times, that didnt help^^

Try setting the compatibility mode for the executable to run it as administrator. This helped me.
