and if you type in meigs field in bing maps.. you find it..:)
I'm aware but look on the Chicago TAC, it's not there as a closed airport. How is it going to be reimagined with how FS2020 works?
Well for one thing.. because MSFS is a "game"...
Still don't see how it matters, you need to understand how the world is rendered in FS2020.
quit being so near sighted... I hate to break this to you.. there are thousands of private air strips that will never make it into this game.. and Meigs should be added as one.. it does not have to be "added" into any control tower.. just the airport.. and it is in many games still as add on.. But seeing Sublogic started flight sims.. and MS bought into it.. this IS The airport to have in the game one way or the other..

What? Those actually exist and will be seen for the most part even if it's just a photo image of a grass strip or whatever. Meigs Field hasn't been a thing since the early 2000s. I know some Bing imagery is old but it won't be THAT old, especially in Chicago where photogrammetry exists.
And the land meigs field was at still exist..it didn't sink into the lake..lol... it's not like I am asking to change the China Wall into houses because they use Bing Maps... oh wait..

Obviously things will change..and can be changed.. I guess you never seen addons in flight sims before.. smh
There is literally water and mounds of dirt on Northerly Island where the airport was.
Are you serious? I've dumped thousands into addons. This sim does things differently.
There will be 3rd party vendors adding to the map.. trust me..no matter how "different" you think it is.. just stop and "think" for a moment.. they already have "handcrafted" airfields...sigh
ORBX have already announced many airports for FS2020 - so I am very confident that Meigs Field will be in the new sim eventually.

^^^ and there ya go... thanks Julian... I attached the x-11 in a video above already.. it wasn't "US" guys with the short sight..just one..lol.. Maki said "it can't be done".. because MSFS 2020 is "Different".. not that different.. people will make money just like always... lol

For a guy that says he spent thousands on addons.. I just don't get this..lol
you really think MSFS 2020 is that different and will not have modding.. okie dokie.. enjoy that box you paint yourself in.. I believe programmers have vision..and 3rd parties will use that vision.. they always have.. psst Maki.. its a computer game.. smh

The way FS2020 handles the world has never been done before. Unless you can somehow override this how can something be added that is a thing of the past? I didn’t say addon airports can’t be a thing. I’m not a novice to the addon scene, lol. The argument that just because P3D and XP can do it means you can do it in FS2020 holds little water. I very much doubt Orbx will bring that airport to FS2020, same deal with Crushman Meadows, an airport that doesn't even exist and Meigs Field is in the same boat and has been for over a decade. FS2020 handles the world in a totally different way. You're talking to someone who has invested at least $3,000 in addons and been flying simming since around 1997.
