How to throttle ANY planes?
Last month when I last time played MSFS, I was able to fly any planes with my SaiTek 52x. So, I updated MSFS with the latest version. I then tried to fly Airbus 320. Can't get throttles to go full. It will go up then down to 20 percent. I have All Assistances on. Same for 747 and Cessna 172.

I unplugged Saitek and resumed. I still can't get throttles to go. I ever tried Disconnect AutoThrottles. No go.

So, how do I get throttles to go full in All Assistances turned on?

Thanks, THartmann9374

Just an idea, make sure that the co-pilot controls are turned off. I had some similar problems with controls and found that the in-game menu had the co-pilot in control.

Normally if I have that issue, but not a Saitek, I have to recalibrate my controller using the controller software.

If you can't go Full Throttle it could perhaps be the Reverse Props so check binds? This is not ALL Planes though. Also I'd check in your Sensitivity Settings in Controls (top left) and also run manufacturers configs to check all is well there. I think it's this that draws far too much power for the Throttle and needs a separate Powered USB HUB. Search issues on this as a known.

The Airbus is flyby wire so is it that the autothrottle is limiting your engine use to the most efficient? But even when I disengage autothrottle and push the thrust levers all the way to max they still dont give me 100% throttle in my game its something like 98%.

Update: it is not just SaiTek, but I unplugged SaiTek and restarted MSFS. I used keyboard. Still can't get throttle to move in any planes.

Perhaps a place to start would be to turn all assistance OFF. If you are struggling to exert control and you have surrendered control to some mysterious "helper", it might be time to fire the "helper".

Has to be double binds involving the Reverse Props & Reverse Thrust (acts as feather to Idle for most Pistons). Try all Defaults.

But neither reverse has any effect in a 172

I had this for DA40/62 MODS but it only seems to be triggered when we get the Blue Parking Box to stop in. Then it stays full throttle when Idle and needs Holding my Toggle Reverse Thrust Bind. None of this makes sense I know but this is what cures it.

OK I can tell you how to fix the 747 Throttle...

There is a tiny switch on the left side of the Throttle for this OR you can use a Bind for Toggle Auto-Throttle. Keep this on Auto in air and upon Landing disengage this + AP as you cross the checkers. This plane sits very very high so even when you Land you still think you're in the air.

The A320 Auto-Throttle goes OFF once you disengage AP.

A tip on Climbing. Planes will only Climb if you have any more Throttle available OR you add Flaps at slow & low altitudes. This is how the AP Climb Positions function to allow the extra regardless of it staying in CL Mode in the A320 as it's auto instead.

Update: It was Assistance All on. I fixed that.

Great. Another tip is you can Manually set the Speed to say 140 (Full Flaps) - 150 (Landing Flaps) for Landings and engage APPR just before the ILS Star and never above it's capture height.

Bad news... I just experienced the stuck Throttle in the KING AIR also. None of my fixes worked on this Plane. It happened on Landing.

Also I read "You need to disconnect the auto-throttle, which will automatically engage on a 747 after a short time and lock the current throttle level." I don't know how long this takes to come on.

Maybe its a fault with the game that the 747 doesnt disconnect the autothrottle after retarding the throttle levers on touch down like the Airbus does? Does the Dreamliner do that also I dont have that plane? I will have to see if the Citation does it.

The best alternative is to fly the approach manually using throttle and dont bother with the autothrottle at all.

The autothrottle is dangerous anyway unless you know your stall speed for the weight of the plane. I've had instances where I haven't been able to establish my approach speed for the autothrottle in the 747 and lost the glide slope very quickly because I was flying too slowly. Probably due to carrying too much fuel weight. Whereas when you fly manually you can adjust speed to compensate a lot easier.

Of course the only other way is to let the 747 fly itself and descend/land automatically but wheres the fun in that lol?
