If you want excitement, try flying a Cessna Citation.
Try VATSIM.
I honestly don't see GA as boring, 98% of my flying is GA. Currently in XP flying a Cessna 150 on VATSIM. Flying in MSFS and P3D is just as exciting when on VATSIM. I would get bored in all of these sims if it wasn't for VATSIM.
Its just too slow and lifeless.
I guess its unfair to compare it to other flight games like project wingman, ac7, i know those arent sims but they capture the feel lf flying better as its much faster, in this sim there is no speed or excitement and it feels lifeless and boring.
I honestly think you want constant action and nothing less, you're not looking for a better feel of flying. My take on the best feel of flying in the comfort of my own home the A2A J3 Cub with EZCA and when you integrate it with Active Sky it's great.
And trust me, as someone with time in a real military flight simulator, it's almost as slow as MSFS in real life. Arcade fighter games are all about knife fights because that's where the excitement is; in real life it's a lot of waiting and if you get that close you're probably dead.
Next to this i reccomend DCS.
It has an editor, where you can place air to air missile sites as much numbers as you want.
I can guarantee that it will not be boring evading those missliles :-)
But if you want more action do shorter flights like airliner flights over only a few hundred miles. Not very realistic but it means that you get to take off, climb, descend, do the approach and land and that certainly keeps you busy.
If doing GA flights do them from local airfields and fly around interesting places like cities or natural features/points of interest.
And I always enjoy recreating holiday flights I've had in the past.
Plenty ways to keep this game interesting. And I think the feeling of flight is pretty accurate. I just wish there were some gliders as they are a lot more fun.
Out of here after reading this comment lol.
