Lag on final approach and after touchdown
Nearly every flight, the game lags obnoxiously during final approach and touchdown. How do I fix this?

For a more subtle and far easier approach, delete you shader cache. Here's a video that explains this.

If that doesn't work, you can consider the nuclear option.

Remove all GROUND TRAFFIC and use FSLTL with 50% AIRCRAFT.

Macman's tip is good. FSLTL works wonders, but don't forget to adjust the default values accordingly to your setup.

1. Try to use DX11 if you're in DX12, or vice versa.
2. Remove completely the civilian vehicle traffic.
3. Reduce the value on the World Detail slider. High values at low level really hurts.
4. Make sure you have virtual memory on a fast drive and set to = to your system ram. SSD or SSD-NVME.
5. Reduce Object LOD slider.

#2 is major, followed by #3 and #1 in priority.

good advice you've received so far. I'd add that you should reduce your road traffic (cars etc) to 5% or even 0. Unnecessary strain on your resources.
