Stuck on "checking for updates."
Hello.
This issue has never happened to me before, and is now constantly happening.
Every single time I boot up the simulator, it gets stuck in "checking for updates" it goes on forever and ever, and the only way to get out of the issue, is to unplug the ethernet, and then it will stop. (then I re plug the internet in again)

The simulator now loads much slower when I load in the game now.
My specs are:
CPU: Intel Core i5-9400F
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 TI (8GB)
Motherboard: TUF H310M-PLUS gaming
Stored on a 2TB HDD
RAM: 32GB
RAM TYPE: DDR4
OS: Windows 10 Home
System type: 64 bit.

I've:
Fully updated my PC.
Validated the files
ran "sfc/scannow"
updated all the drivers.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Do you use KILLER ETHERNET ADAPTER?
Tried Run As Admin CMD> DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

That is not checking if you have a 'KILLER' ETHERNET ADAPTER as that Manufacturer has Drivers and APPs for both Wired & WIFI.
IF your Internet is connected to any Software APP then it will likely be throttling your Upload by what it thinks is to Prioritise Games. If you see any APP then it needs DELETED not just switch OFF in Task Manager. You only need to keep the Driver. For me this had restricted Upload to ~1mbps which this game needed more for LIVE WEATHER to load and also it needs this to check for Updates.

Also you might check that you have nothing on their CONFLICT LIST that you use which includes Anti-Virus but also other Programs.

I had this tonight too. I think sometimes it's just the sim being funky.

After trying a bunch of suggestions I found online, none of which worked. I just restarted the pc a couple of times, then steam came up with a tiny update of a few kb. Launched again and it finally got past the checking for updates. It did take longer than usual still, but did eventually get past it. Loading into a flight also took longer than normal, with an extra few minutes AFTER the loading bar "finished". Just been in the air for over 2 hours now though, and everything is working fine once loaded.
