You are not missing having to purchase it on game release day. Any more questions?

You get to use the De Havilland Canada CL-415 which is found in MSFS 2024 in MSFS. Once you have pre-ordered it will be found in the content manager to download although some have had issues with it not showing up and need to get support involved. For myself personally I saw it right away.

Easy: Preorders are the gamemarkets cancer. Devs can hype, roll out preoders and deliver a pile of ♥♥♥♥. And only a small precentage pf people will refund so the devs won easily

Pre-orders normally include bonus cosmetics that expire after couple of weeks release. It's a way for game producers to test the waters, and pre-orders are included in Steam stats too.

I pre-ordered Aviator to annoy people.

lol Nice one. I think you will succeed. :balatro_death:

OP: Think of a pre-purchase as less of a statement or a stake, but in a lot of cases - a simple, inevitable and tedious transaction to get out of the way.

i never said i was anti anything, i just asked why as there is clearly zero benefit. the plane they give you for MSFS 2020 is just a kick in the bollocks anyway as there arent any fires to put out in 2020 ffs

you probably have somewhere, it dont bother me each to their own im just curious as to why anyone would pre order a game these days, its not like back in the day when there was only so many physical copies to buy and there actually was a real chance you would not get one.

Why not? For folks that have been a MSFS pilot for decades, we already know that we will purchase the latest and greatest whenever released. Why hold off when I know I will end up owning it? I guess it boils down to the individual and personal preferences.
